An dem von der Schnalle zusammenzuhaltenden Stoffteil der Hose ist auf der einen Seite das Band 2 und auf der anderen Seite das Band 3 durch Nähen o. dgl. befestigt. Die mittels der Ansätze 5 mit dem Band 3 durch Nähen verbundene Schnalle 4 ist kastenförmig und besitzt eine bei 7 befestigte Feder 6. Diese Feder trägt eine in die Schnalle hineinragende Nase oder Klinke 8, welche zwecks leichten Einsteckens des freien Gurtbandes 2 in die Schnalle und um das Herausziehen des Gurtbandes 2 .aus derselben zu erschweren, an der einen Seite bei 9 eine steile und der anderen Seite bei 10 eine weniger schräge Fläche besitzt.
