Abstract

The dialling circuit is applicable to telephone systems with push-button number election. The selection of a number outside the private exchange is stored in unit digit form and released to a converter for transformation into a series of impulses. The coded signal then passes to an output unit and into the outgoing line. In the output unit a branch feeds the impulse coded signal to a converter which changes each impulse series back into a unit code which is then applied to the converter for incoming calls. Here a digit count is carried out and through routing switches a signal passed to the 'end of number' signal generator to reset the converter and open the line for speech transmission.
