Der Sitz α¹ des Stuhles (Fig. 1) ist an dem Rahmen α angebracht. Zur Befestigung der Stuhlbeine b dienen die Schuhe c, welche aus Metall bestehen und runde, viereckige oder mehreckige Gestalt besitzen können. Diese Schuhe c, welche hülsenartig die Oberenden der Beine b übergreifen, besitzen in ihrem Boden ein Loch, durch welches ein Bolzen d hindurchgesteckt wird. Dieser ist an seinem oberen Ende mit einem Schraubengewinde versehen, während das untere Ende glatt verläuft und aus dem hülsenartigen Teil des Schuhes c herausragt. Die Schuhe c sind untereinander durch ein Metallkreuz e starr verbunden. Dieses Kreuz richtet sich in seiner Gestalt nach dem Möbelstück, an welchem die Beine angebracht werden sollen, und kann aus zwei oder mehr Armen bestehen. Das Kreuz e wird mit den Schuhen mittels der Bolzen d an dem Rahmen a des betreffenden Möbelstückes angeschraubt, so daß dann die Beine b in die Schuhe c eingesetzt werden können, wobei die oberen Enden der Beine die Bolzen d umfassen. Zur Sicherung der Beine b in den Schuhen und zur vollkommenen Versteifung der Beine untereinander dienen Streben f, welche zwischen je zwei Beinen, und zwar zweckmäßig nur an den Seiten eines Stuhles kreuzweise vorgesehen sind. Die höherliegenden Enden dieser Streben werden durch ein Loch im Stuhlbein und des Bolzens d hindurchgesteckt, so daß hierdurch das Stuhlbein fest auf dem Bolzen d gehalten wird. Patent claim:
