Description
Gas conduction hose for medical devices It is known that patients who are intubated or tracheostomized, to ventilate with the help of devices that allow the Flush and warm air supplied to the patient. This is necessary because the called ventilation of patients the natural humidification and warming of the breathing air falls through the mucous membranes of the mouth and nose.
The disadvantage of the known devices is that the inside of the device humidified and warmed air in the gas supply hose between the device and cools the patient and that water condenses in the process. The condensed water constitutes a great danger for the operation of the device and thus for the patient. The invention seeks to avoid the disadvantages of the known devices described and to train this device in such a way that the patient can be sure of breathing air the desired temperature and supplied with the desired moisture will. The invention relates to a gas supply hose for medical devices, especially for use in patients who have been tracheostomized or intubated are. The invention consists in that a flexible, electric heater is arranged, through which the temperature of the breathing air in is maintained at the desired height. This also reduces the humidity set on the device secured for the patient, Fig. 1 shows schematically an embodiment of the Invention.
The breathing air is warmed and humidified in the device (not shown) and flows in the direction of arrow 1. Is on the connection grommet la of the device connected to the gas supply hose 2, which leads to the patient.
The end of the heating coil 3 or its supply lines 4 are insulated by a transition sleeve 5 out, which is used to connect the gas hose piece 6 with the Device connection piece la is used
