Im Rahmen des DVB-Standards sind sowohl die Übertragung von Audio- und Videodaten als auch die Übertragung von reinen Datendiensten festgelegt. Neben den üblichen digitalen Fernseh- und Radioprogrammen können somit auch andere Daten übertragen werden, wie zum Beispiel Internet-Dienste. Dieses wird heutzutage auch schon realisiert. Zum Empfang der einzelnen Dienste sind jeweils speziell darauf ausgelegte Empfangsgeräte erforderlich, so zum Beispiel eine sogenannte Set-Top-Box für den Empfang und die Wiedergabe von Fernseh- und Radioprogrammen. Für den Empfang von Datendiensten wird üblicherweise eine spezielle PC-Karte benötigt. Sollen Fernseh- und Radioprogramme aufgezeichnet werden, so stehen dafür die üblichen Aufzeichnungsgeräte zur Verfügung, zum Beispiel Videorecorder. Seit neuestem sind auch Geräte bekannt, die über ein internes Speichermedium Aufzeichnungen vornehmen können.The DVB standard specifies the transmission of audio and video data as well as the transmission of pure data services. Programme kann mit diesen Geräten nicht realisiert werden. Sinn der im Folgenden beschriebenen Erfindung soll es sein, mit einem Gerät die oben ausgeführten Funktion durchführen zu können. Hierzu verfügt das Gerät über mehrere Empfangsteile, welche unabhängig voneinander arbeiten können. Ein solches Empfangsteil besteht dabei mindestens aus Tuner, Demodulator, der Fehlerkorrektur und einem Demultiplexer. Am Ausgang des Demultiplexers steht dann der MPEG-Datenstrom zur weiteren Verarbeitung zu Verfügung. Bedingt durch die unabhängig voneinander arbeitenden Empfangsteile stehen im Gerät mehrere unterschiedliche Datenströme gleichzeitig zur Verfügung. An den Ausgängen der Demultiplexer (4), (8) und (13) steht jeweils der MPEG-Datenstrom zur Verfügung. Von dem Demultiplexer (4) wird der MPEG-Datenstrom auf den Quellenschalter (14) geführt, der den Audio/Video-Decoder (16) speist. Dieser speist wiederum den PAL-Encoder (17), an dessen Ausgang (20) das Videosignal zur Speisung eines Fernsehgerätes oder Videorecorders zur Verfügung steht. Die Toninformationen werden von dem Audio-Digital/Analog-Konverter (18) gewonnen, welcher von dem Audio/Video-Decoder (16) gespeist wird. Am Ausgang (21) des Audio-Digital/Analo.g-Konverters (18) steht dann der Ton in Mono bzw. üblicherweise in Stereo zur Verfügung. Die Audiodaten in digitaler Form werden am Ausgang (22) des SPDIF-Baustein (19) ausgegeben, der wiederum von dem Audio/Video-Decoder (16) gespeist wird.The complete signals received from the satellite antenna are available at the tuner inputs (0).
