Diese Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäß dadurch gelöst, daß - sich das Leuchtmittel innerhalb eines gepolsterten, lichtdurchlässigen Kissens befindet, das quasi als Schirm das Licht verteilt und abblendet. Vorzugsweise ist dabei das Kissen aus Stoff genäht und verfügt über eine Öffnung zum Wechsel des Leuchtmittels. Die Fassung befindet sich vorzugsweise ebenfalls innerhalb des genähten Kissens. Als Leuchtmittel wird vorzugsweise eine Kompakt-Leuchtstofflampe verwendet, die über eine geringe Wärmeentwicklung verfügt. Die Entwicklung der Leuchtmittelhersteüer von Kompakt-Leuchtstofflampen, die bei hoher Lichtausbeute wenig Wärme abgeben macht es möglich, bei der erfindungsgemäßen Lichtkissenleuchte auf einen Abstand des Kissenstoffes zum Leuchtmittel zu verzichten. Die erfindungsgemäße Leuchte verfügt vorzugsweise über einen Aufhänger, so daß sie sowohl als Wandleuchte, als Leseleuchte auf dem Boden, oder im Bett genutzt werden kann.
