Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a product according to the preamble of the independent claim.
Especially in motor vehicles are used to protect electrical lines Fuses are used. Fuses have the disadvantage that they are certain have inertia in tripping behavior. With an overcurrent of 35% compared to the no minimum fuse tripping current, it can take up to half an hour for one Fuse actually triggers. With an overcurrent of 250%, 3.5 times corresponds to the nominal tripping current of the fuse, it can still take 5 seconds to The fuse must be triggered. For fuse values with high nominal tripping Current values therefore have the problem that the actual tripping current is considerably higher must be here. For a fuse with a nominal tripping current of 250 A this means that with an overcurrent of 250% an actual trip current of 875 A must flow. In the event of a short circuit of several lines, especially in a vehicle or after an accident, it can therefore not be guaranteed that the vehicle battery a sufficiently large current at all to trigger a fuse can provide.
For this reason, active safety elements are used. With this active security With the help of an exothermic chemical reaction, elements become large energy released a lot. This amount of energy enables a conductor to melt through an egg a defined position. The disadvantage of such backups is that during or immediately after the exothermic reaction Reaction materials or parts of the molten conductor uncon flying around in the vicinity of the fuse. This can cause damage electronics or other fuses.
The object of the invention is therefore to provide an active fuse based on an exothermic men to improve response. The chemical reaction should be encapsulated as well as possible of an electrically insulating, thermally highly conductive material. The end should occurs from reaction material to be avoided.
According to the invention this object is achieved by the characterizing features of the un dependent claim. Further advantageous embodiments are in the subclaims contain.
The invention is based on a fuse element with a closed heat-resistant connect the reaction vessel and design it as an integrated safety element, wherein the reaction container contains an ignitable chemical mixture. The chemical The reaction is encapsulated in the reaction container and runs completely inside the container ses so that no reaction materials escape into the environment. The wall of the Reaction container is made of a heat-resistant and thermally highly conductive material with a fusible conductor in good thermal contact, so that a high heat transfer from the reaction vessel on the fuse element is guaranteed. The exothermic reaction in The inside of the reaction container is triggered by an igniter. Because of the high heat The conductivity of the reaction vessel becomes the energy released during the exothermic reaction transferred to the fuse element and melts it at the contact surface to the reaction housing by.
The main advantage achieved with the invention is seen in that escape from hot and aggressive reaction materials into the environment is avoided. Here by preventing unwanted damage from e.g. B. arranged in the area Electronics. Another advantage of the invention is the fact that for triggering the fuse via the igniter requires a relatively small amount of energy, so that ins especially in motor vehicles, even in an accident, the safe triggering of the erfindungsge moderate security element is guaranteed.
Es zeigen:An embodiment of the invention is illustrated below with reference to drawings provides and explained in more detail. Show it:

Fig. 1 zeigt ein Ausführungsbeispiel des erfindungsgemäßen Sicherungselementes. Fig. 1 shows an embodiment of the fuse element according to the invention. An electrical fuse element is in thermal contact with at least one wall side of a closed reaction container 2 . The wall of the reaction vessel is preferably made of a heat or good ceramic or ceramic compound. In the reaction container, an ignitable mixture 3 is contained, which reacts exothermically after the ignition. The reaction vessel is preferably filled with thermite known per se. The ignitable mixture 3 is ignited in the event of a fuse with an electrically controllable igniter 4 . The igniter 4 is located inside the reaction container 2 and can be controlled from outside and thus ignited via feed lines 5 which are passed through a wall of the reaction container 2 .
Fig. 2 shows another embodiment of the security element according to the invention. This exemplary embodiment differs from the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 1 essentially by a special geometric design of the reaction container 2 . In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 2, the container wall 7 facing the fusible conductor 1 has a reduced wall thickness compared to the other container walls. This advantageously improves the heat transfer to the fuse element.
Fig. 3 shows a further embodiment of the securing element according to the invention. In this embodiment, the fusible conductor wall 6 of the closed reaction vessel is made of metal or a metallic compound. Before preferably the wall 6 is made of copper. This advantageously improves the heat transfer from the inside of the reaction container to the fuse element.
FIG. 4 shows a further embodiment of the fuse element according to the invention, in which the fuse element 1 has specially designed regions 8 . The areas 8 of the fusible conductor 1 are in thermal contact with the reaction vessel 2 . In area 8 , the fuse element has a reduced cross section, which is designed as a predetermined breaking point. When the exothermic mixture 3 is ignited, the region 8 will heat up due to the thermal contact with the wall of the reaction container. The amount of heat required for the separation of the fusible conductor is smaller the smaller the cross section of the fusible conductor. The fusible conductor will thus cut through at the point of the smallest cross-section, so that the area 8 with the reduced cross-section acts as a predetermined breaking point.
