Abstract
Description
The invention is used to monitor the properties of image display devices with regard to their assignment in performance classes. According to DIN 6868-57, a necessary condition for assigning an image display device to a certain performance class is that the quotient L max / L min <Q (Q = 100 for performance class 1 and Q <40 for performance class 2 ). The ratio Q is also referred to as the maximum contrast. The assignment of an image display device to a performance class is only possible in a given environment, since the maximum contrast is significantly influenced by the ambient conditions. The principle of the invention consists in evaluating the lighting conditions and determining the maximum contrast from this evaluation. As a result of the evaluation, the current classification of the image display device in the device classes is perceived.
Depending on the intended use, image display devices in the medical field, in particular in the field of digital radiography, must meet certain requirements. Generally, performance class 1 monitors are required for the diagnosis of X-ray images. At the moment, the monitors are assigned in an existing environment in connection with the display of test images (e.g. SMPTE test) by measurement with luminance meters. In the case of particularly high-quality monitors, the ambient brightness is already measured with a photodiode and the brightness and contrast are automatically adjusted on the monitor according to the measurement result. This method does not serve as an indicator of the viewing status at the data display terminal.
It is considered a task to prepare a tool put that to the user of an image display device everyone time shows the quality status and so z. B. the quality the diagnostics on the image display device. Especially Such a facility is important in all for diagnosis rooms used by X-ray images, which are exposed to daylight be brightened, since here the viewing change conditions. Such an aid can e.g. Belly supplement a brightness-dependent monitor control.
The invention which achieves the object described is based on the constant monitoring of the environmental conditions of the Image display device connected to a simple indicator to display the current status of the image display system in its environment.
According to the invention, there is the indicator for class assignment an image display device from a sensor that detects the Brightness of the on the surface of the image display device incident light and a display module that the user of the image display device the result of the loading scoring signals.
The invention enables the lighting to be adjusted conditions of the environment of a picture display device to the current requirements (those in the diagnosis of X-rays images are set by law).
The indicator exists in embodiments of the invention for class assignment of an image display device from one Photo element linked to an electronic circuit, which evaluates the signal of the photo element and with the help of optical or acoustic signals the result of the evaluators tung indicates.
The invention is based on an Ausfüh Example described:
