Der vorliegenden Erfindung liegt die Erkenntnis zugrunde, daß die Farbtemperatur von Tageslicht sowie dessen IR-Anteil mit für die Ansteuerung von Beschattungsanlagen, Beleuchtungsanlagen zur Simulation von Tageslicht in Räumen und dergleichen hinreichen­ der Genauigkeit auch über die Helligkeit des einfallenden Lichtes und den Sonnenwinkel (Winkel über dem Horizont) bestimmt werden kann, wobei der Sonnenwinkel in Abhängigkeit von der Zeit einer ersten in einer Recheneinheit gespeicherten Datenbank entnommen, die Helligkeit mittels eines Sensors gemessen und der dem Sonnenwinkel und der gemessenen Helligkeit entsprechende Farbtemperaturwert einer zweiten in einer Recheneinheit gespeicherten Datenbank entnommen wird. Aus der ermittelten, Farbtemperatur und der Helligkeit läßt sich die Strahlungs­ energie und damit der IR-Anteil des Lichts berechnen.
