Abstract

The cylinder liner is of gray cast iron, metallic alloys, or sintered metals, fiber materials, or ceramics, and is for use in cylinder crank casings of light metal alloys. It has one or more dovetail-shaped holder grooves or similar. The grooves may have any suitable degree of angle, or the side surfaces of the dovetail may be concave.

Description

Dadurch wird folgendes möglich:

    Die Zylinderkopfdichtung im Zwickelbereich der Zylinderbohrun­ gen liegt zum größten Teil auf den Büchsen und nicht auf dem Blockmaterial auf. Dadurch ist sichergestellt, daß trotz der verminderten Wärmeabfuhr zwischen den Zylindern ein Ein­ drücken der Dichtungssicke in den weicheren Kurbelgehäusewerk­ stoff vermieden wird.
