Abstract

Mineral insulating building material consists of a dry mix of expanded perlite treated with water-proofing agent and polyvinyl acetate, which can be hardened by adding water. Also claimed is a method of producing the material. Preferably the perlite has a bulk density of 70-120 kg/m<3> and granulation of 0-3 mm. An emulsion of a reactive polydimethylsiloxane is used for waterproofing.

Description

The invention relates to a mineral insulating building material and to a method to produce a new mineral insulating building material using expanded Perlites.

So far, foams have mostly been used in the construction industry for thermal insulation and cold insulation Plastics used, both in terms of environmental impact and raw materials are unsatisfactory on the disposal side. There is also a free-flowing insulating material material made of expanded perlite or other mineral materials, which in turn only in loose fillings and is therefore of limited use.

The invention is therefore based on the object of a new mineral insulating building material to create, which is characterized by its good insulation properties and its easy processing availability and its environmental compatibility.

The invention solves this problem by using a dry mass of expanded and a water repellant mixed with perlite and admixed polyvinyl acetate (PVA), which dry matter can be hardened by adding water. This is expanded perlite sprayed with a water repellent and with polyvinyl acetate to a dry mass mixed, whereupon this dry matter for recycling as an insulating building material by pulling water abe mixed to an earth moist mass and then processed and during the Drying hardens.

A new, extremely light, non-combustible mineral insulating material is created, which its water-repellent finish is moisture-resistant in its insulating properties is and by simply mixing expanded perlites with water repellents and Dispersion allows rational production. The dry matter is in the manufacturer factory prepared and can then be used on site or the like with water Mix to a deformable mass, given the desired shape if slightly compacted and allowed to harden, so that after hardening up to Drying not only a corresponding dimensional stability, but also a strength increasing stability is given. Any later disposal is no problem due to the fact that the hardened insulating building material is considered building rubble and is treated accordingly can be. For processing, the earth-moist mass can be placed in hollow bricks, casing stones, Masonry spaces and Fill or backfill isolation rooms and of course this mass can also be made in the factory to form insulating plates or insulating moldings work.

Particularly good properties can be achieved if perlite with a density of 70-120 kg / m 3 and a grain size of 0-3 mm as well as an emulsion of a reactive polydimethylsiloxane is used for hydrophobization. In order to also obtain an earth-moist, buildable mass, about 80-120 l of water are expediently added to the dry mass per m 3 .

Die in die endgültige Form gebrachte Masse wird dann bis zur vollen Trocknung aushärten gelassen und es entsteht ein Isolierstoff mit einer Trockenrohdichte zwischen ca. 110-120 kg/m3 und einer Wärmeleitzahl λ = 0,047 W/mK.Expanded perlite with a density of 70-120 kg / m 3 and a grain size of 0-3 mm is subjected to a high-pressure spraying using an emulsion of a reactive polydimethyl siloxane, 1.2 l emulsion per perlite never being used. Thereafter, 12 kg of polyvinyl acetate are added to the sprayed perlite per m 3 and mixed to a dry mass. In order to make usable insulating mass from this storable dry mass, water is mixed into the dry mass in suitable mixers until an earth-moist moldable mass is formed, which takes place at 80-120 l per m 3 . This mass can now be poured into corresponding cavities or processed into shaped bodies, with slight compression being possible. The mass brought into the final shape is then allowed to harden to full drying and an insulating material is formed with a dry bulk density between approx. 110-120 kg / m 3 and a coefficient of thermal conductivity λ = 0.047 W / mK.
