Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein Flaschenverschluß, der von einer durch Pressen oder Drücken hergestellten, mit oberem seitlichen, sich gegen den Mündungsrand der Flasche stützenden Flansch versehenen biegsamen Kapsel gebildet wird, die mit mehreren ausgepreßten parallelen, überschüssiges Metall bildenden Rippen versehen ist, so daß, wenn die in die Flaschenmündung gebrachte Kapsel ίο ausgebogen und verflacht wird, sich das Metall von selbst allen Unregelmäßigkeiten und Unebenheiten der mit einem Absatz versehenen Innenfläche der Flaschenmündung leicht anpaßt und dadurch einen dichten Ver-Schluß bewirkt.
