Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an electronic magnifying glass according to the Preamble of claim 1.
Currently only optical magnifying glasses are known, which are usually consists of a converging lens, which is mounted in a frame is on which a handle is arranged. Such Optical magnifiers have the disadvantage that they are in a certain Keep away from the surface to be enlarged have to be and thereby in particular in the marginal area of the Picture errors. In addition, the Focus is done by hand, namely the hand must So be held over the area to be enlarged that in Eye creates a sharp image of the area to be enlarged becomes.
Such an optical magnifying glass has the disadvantage of one impractical handling, a relatively high weight and the said aberration. There are also certain Lighting conditions required to such to be able to use an optical magnifying glass.
The invention has for its object a magnifying glass type mentioned so that they are practical works without aberrations that it is much easier is easy to handle and has a lower weight.
To achieve the object, the invention is by characterized technical teaching of claim 1.
An essential feature of the invention is that a electronic magnifying glass is proposed, the one electronic image sensor in the form of a photosensitive Arrays, e.g. B. a CCD arrangement, and that this Imager in a housing directly with a electronic display unit (display) arranged together is which housing overall on the area to be observed is placed so that the image sensor is preferably in comes into direct contact with the surface to be observed.
The arrangement is the advantage achieved that by directly putting on said electronic magnifying glass on the surface to be observed enlarged, distortion-free image of the observed Area can be achieved with the hand-held magnifying glasses is not easily possible. While it is known Attach optical magnifying glasses in a plate so that they too Place the plate directly on the surface to be observed can, but there is the disadvantage that you start imaging errors obtained, which leads to the eye must look very closely over the magnifying glass in order to get one acceptable and sharp enlargement of the imaging field to reach.
Of course, optical magnifiers are also known sit in a stand, which stand directly on the the area to be observed is also set to a to create a sharp image of the surface. But here too the disadvantage is that the distance between the magnifying glass and must adjust the eye precisely to an acceptable to achieve an enlarged image of the area to be imaged, because imaging errors are inevitable here too.
This is where the invention comes in, which provides that a electronic image sensor in the form of a so-called photosensitive arrays directly on the observed Surface is put on and that this photosensitive array in a relatively flat housing with a display unit is connected, which display unit preferably consists of one Plasma display or a liquid crystal display (LCD) consists. It is preferred if this housing is still is connected to a handle attached to the housing, in which one or more batteries to power the display and the electronic image sensor are arranged.
Of course, the amplification electronics, which are the electrical signals of the electronic Imager and records the display, with electricity be supplied.
The advantage of this electronic magnifying glass is that it is a relative one has a low weight that there are no aberrations, because the photosensitive array goes straight to the observing surface is put on and that the entire magnifying glass is very small and handy. Furthermore, no one is needed Adjustment of the distance between the eye and the display, to get a sharp image of the area to be observed obtained because preferably each pixel of the electronic image sensor directly assigned Controls the pixel of the display above.
So you can z. B. a photosensitive CCD array with a size of 4 mm × 2 mm and with z. B. 200 × Use 100 pixels. The electronics used then translate the signals from this 200 × 100 pixel field to one pixel displayable display of a size of z. B. 40 × 20 mm and also 200 × 100 pixels.
B. 100 × 100 Pixel darstellen. The image can be shown on the display For example, be scaled so that 1 × 1 mm substrate area are displayed on a 2 × 2 cm display surface. The display should then z. B. 100 × 100 pixels.
The magnification can be made variable by z. B. each pixel of the image sensor four pixels of the Displays can be assigned (magnification) or each Pixel of the display four pixels of the image sensor (Reduction).
The photosensitive array preferably consists of a CCD, a CMOS, or a diode array or the like.
The display is either an LC display, a diode matrix, a plasma display or the like.
If the detector surface of the imager mechanically sensitive or not close enough to it Can bring substrate, is a fiber or lens array for mapping the substrate surface onto the Detector array used.
The resolution of such a digital lens is in the order of magnitude of the detector pixels and is e.g. B. 10 microns for CCD arrays.
In a further embodiment, the device can also be used as Clip are executed, with the detector array for example pressed onto the substrate by a counter clip is and directly the luminance distribution of the Detected substrate surface. In this embodiment a light source for backlighting a Transmitted light measurement can be integrated.
Different embodiments can be used for the lighting be used. In a first embodiment provided that there is no lighting at all, whereby for imaging the surface in the photosensitive Array it is sufficient if stray light from the side or penetrates from below into the substrate to be examined.
A lighting source for a Translucent verification of the value and security document be installed.
Of course, the invention also provides that one backlit detector surfaces used, or a arranges additional lighting source in the housing to the side To radiate light onto the substrate.
If the substrate is a document of value or security, then the attachment is a laterally arranged Light source cheap because of such materials Scattered light spreads through the material of the substrate and for even backlighting of the Substrates ensures.
Security documents often have micro- Security features such as. B. a micro script, Guilloche or similar features. Advantage at the Consideration of such security documents with the Digital magnifier according to the invention is that practically none Imaging errors are present, so that micro information that is on arranged on the surface of the value and security document is distortion-free in the display regardless of the Position of the eye to the display can be shown.
It doesn't bother here if the light-sensitive array a relatively small observation field in the range of about 2 mm × 2 mm to about 10 mm × 5 mm, because such micro- Security features only a typical size in the Show sub-millimeter range and only in this range a corresponding enlargement must take place.
The observation field can also be variably adjustable, for example, the 1 × 1 mm spot can cover the entire area of the Scan detector arrays (typically 1 × 1 cm). the display then displays the enlarged image as a "moving image".
The digital magnifier should switch on and off automatically (Micro on and time off switch).

The digital magnifier essentially consists of a housing 9 , on the underside of which an image sensor 4 in the form of a light-sensitive array is arranged, which is directly on the surface 8 of a substrate 6 to be observed, e.g. B. a security and value document is set up. Certain micro information 7 is arranged on the surface 8 of the substrate and is to be made visible on an enlarged scale with the digital magnifying glass.
The image sensor 4 consists of a large number of light-sensitive pixels (pixels) which are arranged in a matrix and form a light-sensitive underside, which can preferably be placed directly on the substrate 6 .
Electronics 5 are arranged in the housing 9 , which converts the signal currents generated by the CCD matrix and displays them directly on a display 3 . The size of the display 3 is considerably larger than the size of the light-sensitive array 4.
On the housing 9 there is also a handle 1 in which one or more batteries 2 are exchangeably attached.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 2, a backlight is provided such that the entire arrangement is connected to a clip 10 instead of a handle 1 and the clip 10 has a bent arm 11 in which a light field 12 is arranged. This light field can be designed as an electroluminescent light field; but it can also contain discrete light sources, such as. B. LEDs or the like.
This creates a backlighting of the substrate 6 to be examined.
Otherwise, the same explanations apply to the embodiment according to FIG. 2 as were given with reference to FIG. 1.
FIG. 3 shows as a further embodiment, a so-called run-screen motion.
In this embodiment, the image sensor 4 consists of a plurality of cells 14 , 15 , 16 arranged next to one another in one plane, each cell being composed of a matrix of e.g. B. 10 × 20 pixels. In the exemplary embodiment shown, the cell 14 is currently switched on and active and shows the micro letter R on the display 3 in full size (filling the picture) in an enlarged form. This is indicated schematically by the imaging beams 17 , 18 . The entire arrangement remains placed on the value and security document in the position according to FIG. 3 and is not moved. However, the cell 14 switches cyclically electronically to the neighboring cell 15 and from there further to the neighboring cell 16 , the letter A, for example, being arranged in micro-writing on the surface of the substrate 6 below the cell 16 . The cell 16 is now activated, to which the imaging beams 19 and 20 are assigned for explanation, so that the letter A is now shown in full screen on the display 3 without the magnifying glass being moved. In this way, the surface of the substrate to be examined can be scanned by advancing from matrix cell to matrix cell 14-16 .
This results in the advantage that a clear and even possibly illuminated, flat image of microstructures is given on the surface 8 of a value and security document, with no imaging errors occurring.
In a development of the present invention, it is provided that not only microsafety features can be detected by electronic magnification with the digital magnifier according to the invention, but also features such as:
- color parameters (fluorescence / luminescence, OVD colors, Printing inks). It is preferred to use a Color sensor and a color display used.
- - Registergenauigkeiten des Druckbildes (auf einer Seite oder zwischen Vorder- und Rückseite) nachgewiesen werden.- Register accuracy of the printed image (on one page or between the front and back).
Furthermore, the display of the digital magnifier can be used with a Touch fad can be provided to easily input to be able to make.
