Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a fuse that can be deactivated element for the electronic monitoring of articles in Department stores and / or warehouses consisting of one soft magnetic material that is created when a magnetic alternating field a characteristic signal transmits which is received by a receiving device becomes.
The electronic article surveillance to prevent Inventory losses in department stores and warehouses are enjoying increasing popularity. There are already a lot of them different security elements become known. A particularly advantageous embodiment of a fuse elements has become known from EP 0 295 028 B1. In in this patent are the so-called thin-film labels described. These consist of a thin, preferably layer of soft magnetic in the µm range Material. The layer is e.g. B. by means of a physika the separation process under vacuum conditions Carrier substrate applied.
Thin-film labels show an anisotropic structure. Anisotropic means that the soft magnetic layer is made of of which the thin film labels are formed, one Preferred axis. The anisotropic structure makes itself felt in practice noticeable in that the thin film The label returned in response to a query field characteristic signal is maximum if query field and Preferred axis are aligned parallel to each other; the However, the signal disappears if the preferred axis and Query field are perpendicular to each other.
The strip fuse also shows an analogous behavior elements made of a strip-shaped, soft magnetic Material. This is also characteristic here Maximum signal if the query field and stripes are parallel are aligned with each other, and disappears at vertical alignment. Such a strip Securing element can also be made from a drawn wire consist.
. .) an. For the detection of security elements in a Query zones are a variety of different procedures known. In EP 123 586 B suggested, in addition to two query fields with the Frequencies f1 and f2 in the kHz range a field with an im Hz range frequency to send in the query zone. The two query fields with the frequencies f1 and f2 rain a security element located in the surveillance zone to send a characteristic signal with the Intermodulation frequencies n.f1 ± m.f2 (n, m = 0, 1, 2, ...) on. The low frequency query field causes the Securing element in time with this field of saturation in one direction to saturation in the other direction is driven. The characteristic signal therefore occurs periodically with the frequency of the low-frequency field on.
An alternative solution has also become known, merely a query field in the kHz range to excite the Security element to use, the characteristic cal signal of the fuse element in turn in time low-frequency field, which is the soft magnetic material back and forth between the two saturations, occurs.
Once a customer has properly purchased an item, should of course be prevented that the fuse element subsequently triggers an alarm in a monitoring zone. Usually, the previously described ones are electro magnetic securing elements designed to be deactivated. For the purpose of deactivation, the soft magnetic Materials a structured, semi-hard or hard magnet table material arranged. Semi-hard or hard magnet in contrast to soft magnetic material Material has low permeability and high Coercive force.
As long as the semi-hard or hard magnetic material is unsaturated, it has no influence on the reaction of the soft magnetic material in the outer query field. However, if the semi-hard or hard magnetic material is in driven by saturation, it subsequently prevents one Response of the soft magnetic material to the outside Query field.
As a deactivator layer for thin-film fuse elements for example, a perforated foil made of nickel is used; Strip security elements are deactivated by means of sections of a semi-hard or hard magnetic Materials, e.g. B. Vacozet that is on or in close proximity is arranged by the strip fuse element. A there is a certain disadvantage of the known securing elements in that relatively much expensive semi-hard or hard magnetic material can be used for deactivation got to. Furthermore, there is a high one for optimal deactivation Magnetic field, the z. B. generated by means of permanent magnets is along the preferred axis of the soft magnetic Material required. Since the preferred axis of the Security elements during the deactivation process usually arbitrary to the deactivator field the deactivation rate is relative low. Another disadvantage is that by Magnets of the deactivator field have strong attractive forces ferromagnetic articles, e.g. B. metal cans exercised become.
The invention is based on the object Inexpensive deactivatable fuse element with a propose a high deactivation rate.
The object is achieved in that the securing element in the deactivated state, a signal with such a changes the waveform that it sends from the Receiving device not as a characteristic signal a fuse element is recognized. While known deactivation procedures that have become the characteristic signal of the soft magnetic Securing element by magnetizing with a saturated semi-hard or hard magnetic material the detection area of the detector device the characteristic signal of Securing element according to the invention continues in the Interrogation area of the receiving device. However, that is Waveform so distorted that it from the Receiving device or an associated computing Control device no longer as a characteristic signal a security element is identified. As from the The state of the art is already known at Invention the characteristic signal from one soft magnetic material in the form of a thin layer or of a stripe.
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention contemporary security element is in addition to the one characteristic signal generating soft magnetic Material at least a selected area is provided, one that falsifies the characteristic signal Signal portion generated.
An advantageous further development of this configuration suggests that in the selected area soft magnetic material, a first semi-hard or hard magnetic material with the coercive force K1 and a second semi-hard or hard magnetic material with the Coercive force K2 are provided, whereby for the Coercive forces of the two semi-hard or hard magnetic Materials the following relationship applies: K1 »K2. The first semi-hard or hard magnetic material - here is it z. B. about ferrite - has the task of soft magnetic material in the selected area premagnetize. In the query field of the surveillance zone delivers the premagnetized soft magnetic material of the selected area an additional, the characteristic signal distorting signal component. The second semi-hard or hard magnetic material - before nickel is used here - serves to deactivate of the selected area. Because the coercive force of the first semi-hard or hard magnetic material is much larger than that of the second semi-hard or hard magnetic Material, the properties of the first semi-hard or hard magnetic material when creating a Deactivation signal not affected. Just that second semi-hard or hard magnetic material is through the deactivation signal is driven to saturation and subsequently prevents a reaction of the soft magnetic Materials in the selected area on the outside Query field. In the saturated state of the second semi-hard or hard magnetic material is the falsifying one Signal portion suppressed, causing the fuse element in as usual with the characteristic signal on the outer query field in the surveillance zone can react.
The first semi-hard or hard magnetic material is according to a first embodiment as a continuous layer in the selected area. An alternative solution provides that the first semi-hard or hard magnetic Material in the selected area towards the Preferred axis divided into individual sections of length a is. With this measure, the additional Signal portion vary widely, so that the Detector device the corrupted signal clearly from the actual characteristic signal of the fuse elements can differentiate.
An additional the characteristic signal falsifying signal component can be according to a Generate design in that in the selected Area a soft magnetic material is provided that has different magnetic properties than that soft magnetic material outside the selected one Area that produces the characteristic signal. By doing selected area is also a semi-hard or hard magnetic material is provided, which is a reaction of the suppresses soft magnetic material as soon as it passes through a deactivation signal is driven to saturation.
According to a first advantageous embodiment of the fuse element according to the invention different magnetic properties of the selected area achieved in that Area a material with different panel thickness or different coercive force is used. In a further embodiment, the magnetic Target properties in the selected area changed. So z. B. the permeability of the material by removing material along specified lines (= Scratches) can be varied over a wide range.

Fig. 2 shows a plan view of an inventive security element 2. It consists of an area in which only soft magnetic material 8 ; 13 can be found, and from a selected or additional area which is designed in such a way that it contributes a falsifying signal component to the characteristic signal. In particular, this signal component changes the characteristic signal A (t) so strongly that the changed signal A * (t) from the receiving device 5 is no longer associated with a securing element 2 - the securing element 2 is quasi deactivated.
The usual deactivation by means of a semi-hard or hard material 10 ; 11 , the signal portion of the additional area 9 can be suppressed; in the latter case, the fuse element 2 as a known activated fuse element 2 operates and re-emitted in the interrogation field of the surveillance zone, a characteristic signal A (t) The different waveforms A (t) A * (t) of the securing element 2 according to the invention are, incidentally, in the figures, Fig. 4a and Fig. 4b schematically for the activated and deactivated state.
Fig. 3a shows a cross section through a first Ausgestal processing of the fuse element 2 of the invention. In the selected or additional area 9 of the soft magnetic material 8 ; 13 , a first semi-hard or hard magnetic material 10 with the coercive force K1 is arranged. This material 10 serves the soft magnetic material 8 ; 13 to be premagnetized in the region 9 in such a way that it supplies a signal component which gives the characteristic signal A (t) of the soft magnetic material 8 ; 13 adulterated. A layer of a second semi-hard or hard magnetic material 11 can be found on the first semi-hard or hard magnetic material 10 , this material 11 having a coercive force K2. The coercive force K1 of the first semi-hard or hard magnetic material 10 is substantially greater than the coercive force K2 of the second semi-hard or hard magnetic material 11 . The second semi-hard or hard magnetic material 11 deactivates the soft magnetic material 8 ; 13 in the selected area 9 as soon as it is driven into saturation by a deactivation signal, while the magnetization strength of the first semi-hard or hard magnetic material 10 is not changed by the deactivation signal. This makes it possible to switch the fuse element 2 according to the invention back and forth as desired between the activated and deactivated state. At this point it should also be mentioned that the order of the individual layers 8 ; 13 , 10 , 11 in the selected area 9 can be any.
In Fig. 3b a top view is shown of a second embodiment of the fuse element 2 of the invention. In this embodiment, the first semi-hard or hard magnetic layer 10 in the selected area 9 in the direction of the preferred axis x of the soft magnetic material 8 , 13 is divided into sections 14 of length a. This configuration allows the signal portion of the selected area 9 to be optimally matched to the characteristic signal A (t), so that the receiving device 5 can clearly differentiate the corrupted signal A * (t) from the characteristic signal A (t). A comparable effect can moreover be achieved by varying the thickness of the semi-hard or hard magnetic layer 10 in the selected area 9 .
Fig. 3c shows a cross section through a third embodiment of the fuse element 2 of the invention. Here are the magnetic properties of the soft magnetic layer 8 ; 13 is not changed by an additional bias material 10, but it is in the selected region 9 just soft magnetic material 13; 8 used with different magnetic properties.
A plan view of a fourth embodiment of the securing element 2 according to the invention can be seen from FIG. 3d. In contrast to FIG. 3c, the same soft magnetic material 8 can be used here; 13 can be used for all areas of the securing element 2 , nevertheless the magnetic properties can be influenced in a targeted manner. In the case shown, z. B. achieved a change in permeability in that in the soft magnetic material 8 ; 13 of the selected area 9 scratches 14 are provided. This method of changing the magnetic properties of soft magnetic materials 8 ; 13 , by the way, has already been described in detail in EP 0 506 933 B1.
