Zum Nutzen von ISDN-Leistungsmerkmalen durch analoge Endgeräte wird ein Terminaladapter TA verwendet (Fig. 1). An diesen Terminaladapter TA sind analoge Endgeräte über die Eingänge a/b anschließbar, die somit an einem ISDN-Mehrgeräteanschluß betrieben werden können. Der Terminaladapter TA umfaßt eine S0-Schnittstelle sowie Codierer und Decodierer zum Umsetzen der analogen Signale in digitale Signale und umgekehrt. Am ISDN-Mehrgeräteanschluß kann für jeden der beiden analogen Anschlüsse eine eigene Rufnummer programmiert werden, so daß die Endgeräte unabhängig voneinander gleichzeitig betreibbar sind. Die unterschiedlichen Rufnummern werden z. B. mittels des Mehrfrequenzwahlverfahrens der Endgeräte programmiert.A terminal adapter TA is used to use ISDN features by analogue terminals ( FIG. 1).
