Mit der durch Patent 168806 geschützten Beckenbefestigung für Orchestrions wird angestrebt, den Becken eine größere Schwingungsfähigkeit und damit einen weichen, zischenden Ton zu geben, was in der Hauptsache dadurch erreicht worden ist, daß das Becken frei schwebend, und zwar unter Spannung gehalten wird. Die Aufhängung an eingespannten Drähten ist für senkrechte Befestigung zweckdienlich. Wird das Becken in wagerechter Lage angebracht, so kann man auf den Rahmen, der das Drahtgerippe unter Spannung hält, verzichten und dafür eine federnde Unterlage benutzen, die allerdings gleichfalls unter Spannung gehalten werden muß.
