Die Erfindung hat Bezug auf eine unter Federwirkung stehende Merktafel, die nach Lösen einer Sicherung zum Zwecke der sichtbaren Eigentumsbezeichnung aus einer verdeckt anzubringenden flachen Hülse hervorbewegt wird. Das Wesen der Erfindung besteht darin, daß die Merktafel mit entsprechenden Aufschriften geradlinig in der Hülse verschiebbar ist, so daß die Hülse beispielsweise hinter dem Hutrand oder an anderen Stellen der Kleidungsstücke angebracht werden kann, so daß sie dem Auge für gewöhnlich unsichtbar bleibt.
