Abstract

The head slide for a magnetic recording drive includes a substrate (43) supporting a magnetic converter (41). Information from the converter is read from, or written onto, a recording disk. A supporting plane (43a) arranged on a surface of the substrate faces the recording disk for receiving an upward thrust force caused by the rotation of the recording disk. Three elevated parts (45a,b) are provided on first, second and third parts of the supporting plane (43a) and arranged in the vicinity of the air-inlet and air-outlet ends of the substrate (43).
