Das Besitzrechtsicherungssystem besteht aus Bildaufnahme- und Datenverarbeitungs­ einrichtung (Dienststation) und Datenspeicherungseinrichtung (Zentralstation). Die Zeichenbild-, dessen Positionsbeschreibungs-, Besitzerdaten sowie Anmeldungsdatum werden bei Anmeldung als Besitzrechtsicherungs­ unterlagendaten im Besitzrechtssicherungsystem gespeichert. Bei Zweifelfall wie z. B. Besitzerkonflikt, Diebstahlverdacht u. ä. werden Besitzrechtsicherungs-Unterlagendaten der betreffenden Person durch eine Dienststation von der Zentralstation abgerufen.
