Description
-Hier will die Erfindung Abhilfe schaffen. "Use of molten slag in hydraulic engineering" In hydraulic engineering it is among other things common, in particularly exposed places as well as for the foundation of groynes, Tail units etc. to use extremely large stones, so-called sink stones. These Stones must specifically be as heavy as possible in order to move through on their own to be able to offer sufficient resistance to the water. By the way, you have to oppose Be resistant to seawater. As a rule, it is natural stones or stones made of poured concrete with individual weights of several tons. Such However, stones are disproportionately expensive to extract or manufacture. -Here the invention wants to remedy the situation.
The invention is based on the object of making sink stones available which are due to their high specific weight, their structure, their strength and their manufacturability as well as their resistance to fresh water and salt water particularly suitable for hydraulic engineering.
This object is achieved according to the invention through the use from autowraoks as a mold for molten slag, which as a liquid combustion residue accumulates, is poured into the car wrecks and solidifies there under slow cooling, for the production of sink stones for hydraulic engineering.
Smelting slag falls in smelting chamber boilers operated with pulverized coal firing as a liquid combustion residue of lignite or hard coal and is in usually passed into a water bath, where they are quenched and so-called granules, forms an extremely porous, vitreous, granular, low density material which is essentially a waste product. According to the teaching of the invention, however the molten slag is not quenched in a water bath, but slowly in wrecked cars led to solidification, which surprisingly turned out to be very dense and heavy Form stones that are sufficiently intimate with the wrecked cars. A special one The invention has a surprising effect to see that the solidified molten slag has a largely tension-free structure and has excellent strength values. Despite the relatively high specific The molten slag in combination with the car wrecks has a weight of over 2.7 a certain porosity and is therefore presumably a good bond with the wrecks so that the result is perfect sink stones. In this context It should be noted that if only molten slag is used for the production of such Sinking stones, so without using car wrecks as a mold, if not complete Xristallisation there is a risk that the originally large block during transport and in the course of loading it disintegrates into several lumps of stone and thus the desired one Purpose of use no longer meets 0 This disintegration is according to the teaching of the invention avoided by working as it were with a lost mold that is sunk with the cast stone.
In order to keep the resulting mold costs as low as possible and make the use of the molten slag profitable for the specified purpose, are used according to the teaching of the invention as a casting mold car wrecks. Because the invention is based on the knowledge that sink stones do not have a uniform shape and size must so that the mold can also be varied in its dimensions. In addition comes that the mold itself did not have a particularly great stability, but Surprisingly, even a wrecked car is enough as a shell to prevent it from bursting the solidified molten resin in the course of loading and transport as sink stones to exclude. The invention also teaches that with molten slag cast car wrecks for the above-mentioned purpose cast-in transport bars have, so that the loading and sinking of the stones without a special gripper is easy is possible. So far, large so-called polygon grippers had to be used with the same Dead weight are used.
The advantages achieved by the invention are essentially therein to see that by using molten slag in car wrecks, sinking stones will eventually occur are available for hydraulic engineering, which are characterized by high specific weight, flawless structure, strength and simple manufacturing options as well characterized by their resistance to fresh and salt water. Smelting slag in wrecked cars as a casting mold, according to the teaching of the invention, not only replaces the otherwise expensive sink stones, but also contributes significantly to the problem of concern to the public to solve the removal of wrecked cars.
Further features essential to the invention are set out below. So the invention teaches the use of molten slag, which as a liquid Combustion residue accumulates, poured and crushed after solidification Manufacture of frost protection layers in road construction after creating a porous one Structure due to the addition of aggregates in the course of the cooling process * As a result a porous structure with a low specific weight can be achieved. One Another embodiment of the invention provides for the use of Schrelsschlacke type explained above as replacement material for filling empty conveyed Mining areas in underground mining.
The excavation spaces filled with it do not require backfilling because the rock practically no longer disintegrates after backfilling. the Molten slag or the backfill material that has arisen from the molten slag remains water-bearing and thus allows the control of mine water as well as it remains gas-carrying and the mine gases at predetermined controllable points can leak. Another modified embodiment of the invention teaches Use of molten slag of the type explained above as railway ballast for Manufacture of ballast beds to accommodate rail sleepers in railway construction. Finally, the invention envisages the use of molten slag of the type described Kind, but after slow cooling, as mineral concrete and, if necessary, after sieving on specified grain sizes as an aggregate in bituminous road construction.
