Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein Heißluftapparat für die Behandlung kranker Gelenke. Während gewöhnliche Heißluftapparate, in denen das kranke Gelenk still und unbeweglich liegt, seit vielen Jahren bekannt sind, Hegt das Neue der Erfindung darin, daß sie eine gleichzeitige Anwendung von heißer Luft und heilgymnastischer Pendelbewegung ermöglicht.The invention relates to a hot air device for the treatment of diseased joints. Er besteht aus zwei Ansatzhülsen (Manschetten) B und C, welche den das Gelenk bildenden Körperteilen anliegen und je nach dem betreffenden Gelenk (Schulter, Ellbogen, Hand, Hüfte, Knie, Fuß) passend geformt sind, und aus einem Mittelteile, das aus einer Anzahl um eine gemeinsame Achse drehbarer Metallhalbringe k besteht, welche das Gerüst eines mehr oder weniger runden Ballons bilden. Dieses Gerüst ist überzogen mit einem für Wärme undurchlässigen Stoffe, der sich beim gegenseitigen Annähern der Halbringe k in Falten zusammenlegen kann. Dieser bewegliche Heißluftballon bildet den Hauptteil des neuen Apparats; an ihm befinden sich noch auf beiden Seiten zwei röhrenförmige Ansätze g zum Zu- und Abführen der heißen Luft und ein Ansatz h oben zum Einstecken eines Thermometers. Die beiden Stifte α und b werden in die Drehachse der beiden Pendelschienen e und f eingesteckt, und in deren Lederhülsen die Ansatzhülsen B und C hineingelegt und festgeschnallt. In den einen der Röhrenansätze g wird nun der Schornstein eines kleinen Spiritus-, Gas- oder elektrischen Heizofens gesteckt.
