Über dem Fenster ist eine in α und b gelagerte Welle c befestigt, die mit einem oder zwei Schraubengängen d versehen ist, je nachdem der Vorhang ein- oder zweiteilig ist. Im letzteren Falle muß die eine Schraube rechts-, die andere linksgängig sein. Der Vorhang ist in bekannter Weise an Ringen e befestigt, die lose auf der Welle c aufgereiht sind. Durch Drehung derselben mittels des darauf befestigten Kettenrades f, das auch als Seilscheibe benutzt werden kann, und der endlosen Kette g werden die Ringe e je nach der Drehrichtung der Welle c durch die Schrauben auseinander- oder zusammengeschoben. Bei einem zweiteiligen Vorhang treffen die inneren Ringe an der Scheibe h zusammen, die ein Überspringen derselben auf die andere Spirale verhindert. Die Ringe haben so viel Spielraum ,. daß, wenn sie auf einen größeren Widerstand stoßen, also z. B. wenn der Vorhang vollständig auseinander- oder zusammengezogen ist, bei weiterer Drehung der Welle leicht über die Gewindegänge der Schraube gehen.A shaft c mounted in α and b is fastened above the window and is provided with one or two screw threads d, depending on whether the curtain is in one or two parts.
