Der eigentliche Verkaufs-oder Schauständer besteht aus zwei Ständerteilen 10 und 13, die jeweils aus einem Stück gefertigt sind. Der untere Ständerteil, das Stützteil 10 besteht im wesentlichen aus einer rechteckförmigen Platte aus Kunststoff, die vorne einen aufwärts weisenden Rand 11 besitzt, wobei dieser Rand über die ganze Kantenlänge zu einer Abkröpfung 12 aus- ßreift gebildet ist. Auch ist der Eingriff der abgekröpften Ränder 12,16 hinreichend, um auch für schwere Fotoapparate eine gute Abstützung zu gewährleisten. Bei schweren Fotoapparaten kann der elastische Werkstoff darüberhinaus nachgeben, d. h. der Teil 13 biegt sich etwas nach hinten durch. Als Kunststoff kann Plexiglas oder ein anderer, vorzugsweise durchsichtiger Werkstoff Verwendung finden. Der Werkstoff kann aber auch lediglich durchschimmernd oder auch undurchsichtig sein.
