Das Patent 168966 betrifft eine Vorrichtung zur Erleichterung der Geh-, Lauf- und Springbewegung und besteht darin, daß unter jedem Fuße zwei ganz oder annähernd parallele, sonst aber in beliebiger Richtung gestellte, zweckmäßig zylindrisch gehaltene Luftkissen in geeigneter Weise befestigt werden. Die Zeichnung zeigt einen Schuh mit drei Luftkissen, von denen das eine Kissen 1 zweckmäßig quer zur Längsachse der Sohle am Hacken angeordnet ist, während zwei andre Kissen 2 und 3 am vorderen Teile der Sohle befestigt sind. Diese Kissen können ebenfalls quer zur Längsachse der Sohle oder, wie die Fig. 2 und 3 erkennen lassen, parallel zur Längsachse der Sohle oder in jeder beliebigen andern Richtung angeordnet sein. An Stelle der in der Zeichnung der Einfachheit halber dargestellten drei Kissen können natürlich auch beliebig mehr vorgesehen werden. Die Kissen selbst können sowohl zylindrisch sein als auch jede beliebige andre Gestalt haben. Ebenso ist es möglich, sie fest an der Sohle oder abnehmbar anzuordnen, um eine Auswechselung herbeizuführen. Das Aufblähen der Luftkissen kann einzeln oder gemeinsam für alle Kissen einer Sohle vor sich gehen.
