Um die Falze gegen dieses directe Wasser zu schützen, braucht nur in dem unteren Falz ein Stab α seitlich und der ganzen Länge nach angebracht zu werden, der so breit ist, als der Spielraum der Ziegel beträgt, und dementsprechend an dem oberen Falz ein Stab b, der diesen überdeckt. Hierdurch wird, auch wenn die Ziegel aus einander gerückt sind, ein doppelter Schlufs der Falze erzielt und das Eindringen von Wasser verhindert.
