Die Neuerung bezieht sich auf Einfassungen von Läufern und Teppichen, insbesondere von solchen aus grobem Gewebe, z. B. aus Kokosfasern. Sisalhanf u. dgl., die vor allem dem Schutz der faserigen, abgeschnittenen Kanten von Läuferstücken dienen. üblicherweise bestehen derartige Einfassungen aus an-und umgenähten Bändern. Das Annähen derartiger Einfassungen ist schwierig und zeitraubend. Außerdem haben diese Einfassungen den Nachteil, daß sie stets stärker auftragen als die Teppiche und Läufer selbst und diese meistens etwas nach oben umbiegen. Infolgedessen bilden sie ein erhebliches Hemnis beim Gehen und geben zum Stolpern Anlaß. Als dem gleichen Grunde sind sie dann störend, wenn sie unter die Flügel von Türen reichen, da dann die Unterkanten der Türflügel an der Einfassung entlangstreifen und hierbei u.
