Ammoniakhrrntellung
wird der erforderliche Wasserstoff durch katalytische Wasserdampfreformierung
leichter Kohlenwasseratbfföle, wie Schwerbenzin, bereitgestellt. "Process for the production of ammonia"

Although the initial investment cost is generally greater for an ammonia plant using the partial oxidation process than for a catalytic reforming plant, this additional capital expense can be offset by substantial savings in operating costs for the partial oxidation process. Another problem in the production of ammonia concerns the use of unreacted coal and dl. The choice of a particular process usually also depends on the hydrocarbon feedstock that is available. For example, the partial oxidation process can use almost any carbonaceous fuel, including coal, while some other ammonia manufacturing processes involve the increasing cost and unavailability of certain fuels, such as Sbhwerbenz Play the main role. Gasreinigung Die Gasreinigung 16 besteht aus einer Anlage
100 zur Ent-
fernung vongohlendioxyd und einer Anlage 102 zur Entfer-
nung von Rohlemonoxyd. Die Anlage 100 besteht
aus einem
Kondensationsabscheider 104, der den Gasstrom 22 aus der
Leitung 82 aufnimmt. Nach Abtrennung des Wassers in
Kon-

d» Kohlenmonoxyd dient. Der Gasstrom 22, der nun im wesentlichen
aus Stickstoff, Wasserstoff, Methan und Argon be-
steht, wird
aus dem Naschturm 148 in Richtung der Ammoniaksyntheseanlage
18 durch Leitung 152'geführt, die durch
den Wärmeauetausoher
146 geht.
Gas cleaning The gas cleaning 16 consists of a system 100 for removing removal of carbon dioxide and a system 102 for removing

Due to the presence of the steam generator 20 with rela- tively large capacity, it is possible to handle large volumes of gas mixtures of carbon dioxide and Sahwefelmteeretoff so that the hydrogen sulfide can be converted to water and sulfur dioxide and the carbon can be dioxide discharged into the atmosphere. The gas stream 22 from the line 112 is passed into the system for removing carbon monoxide 102 while the gas is passed through to a cooling system 140 and then to a separator 144 . Below the line 112 a Wßrmeaustauscher 146 is turned on with the same exchange and a Waschtum 148, where the gas stream is washed with 22 flUeeigem nitrogen to remove carbon monoxide, wherein the nitrogen is used as Absorptionanedium for d »carbon monoxide. The gas stream 22 which is now loading essentially of nitrogen, hydrogen, methane and argon is 152'geführt from the Naschturm 148 in the direction of the ammonia synthesis plant 18 by line, passing through the Wärmeauetausoher 146th A return line 154 is connected to the nasal tower 148 in order to lead the carbon monoxide to the steam generator 20 via a waste water exchange unit with parallel routing 156 . The gas stream in line 154 has a temperature of about minus 2000 C prior to entering the heat exchanger 156 and the stream is brought ambient temperature to about, so that the cooling capacity of the current is made before it is returned to the steam generator 20 again. The steam generator 20 is r, therefore, 154 to gain capable of the heat of combustion from the gas stream of the line again and to keep to carbon dioxide at a minimum at the same time the effect of carbon monoxide by the convergence tiereng. The nitrogen stream N from the separation plant 42 is passed via the heat exchanger 156 to the scrubbing tower 148 through the line 158. To the lines 158 and 152 a branch line 160 is connected, through the extra nitrogen on the current in the N Gaastrom 22 - can be guided @ terminating the etöchiometrisehen ratio which is necessary for ammonia synthesis.

Accordingly, the strong broken lines 240, 242 and 214 show the schema for the heat recovery vehicle for heating of feed water and steam in the steam generator 20, wherein superheated steam of approximately 3150 0 and 112 kg / cm2 is absolutely zurUckgefüärt from the Wäxmeaustauachern 94 and 246 for Überhitzertexl 204 and feed water of approximately 2040 0 and 112 kg / cm2 absolute is returned to the steam generator part 202 from the heat exchanger 94 . The more heavily colored lines 64, 132, 154 and 199 indicate the return scheme for the heat developed in the process for the combustion of byproducts in the combustion section 208, with fuel and carbon dioxide from the oxidation zone 12 through line 64, sulfur hydrogen, carbon dioxide and carbon oxysulfide from the cleaning progress tone 100 via line 132 as well as carbon monoxide from de purification zone 102 by Leiturig 154 and the impurities from hydrogen, argon, nitrogen, and Amaaniak Methane from ammonia thesis 18 through line 1 99
