This apparatus, made of brass and copper, consists of the spherical vessel K, on which a pipe R with screw connection V runs down and through the conical tap hole pipe S connected to the spherical vessel K. A valve flap Vk , which is connected to the float J by means of hinges C and bracket B, is fitted in this beer line pipe R.

The copper float J has a guide iV-upwards and is connected to the automatic adjusting device E.

This adjusting device consists of the bracket Bg, the small roller W, the track L and the handle F.

M is a collecting tube, also with three screw connections V, to each of which a spherical vessel K provided with a short piece of rubber hose U is connected.

The hook H is used to hang the device in the fermentation vats.

The apparatus works as follows:

If a barrel has filled up through the pipe R , the liquid penetrates through the tap hole pipe S into the spherical vessel K and lifts the float J. This thereby pulls the valve flap Vk and closes the line. With the float, its guide N, the movement of which is facilitated by the sliding roller O , and the bracket Bg also rise; As a result, the roller W runs down the track L as far as the guide N. The handle serves as a load and accelerates the rolling down of the roller W.

If the roller W has run off the web, it now serves with its bracket as an adjusting device to hold up the guide N and the float J , whereby the valve flap Vk remains closed.

If the spherical vessel is brought to another vat or vat, the handle Bg is lifted against the track by the handle, which lowers the float again and opens the valve flap for refilling.

After the barrel to be filled has been plugged into the usual large filling tap, the collecting tube M is screwed onto it.

As noted above, the three spherical vessels K, which contain the self-closing device, are connected to the collecting pipe by short pieces of tubing U and by the three screw connections V on the collecting pipe to form a coherent apparatus.

The three spherical vessels K with their conical peg tubes Z are now attached to the first three kegs, which have been placed upright in front of the storage vessel to be filled, after suitable filling hoses have been tied to the outlet tubes R of these spherical vessels K , which extend to the bottom of the vessels, to prevent the beer from foaming.

The large filling valve on the storage keg is now opened, the beer flows into the also hermetically sealed collecting pipe M and from there it is distributed through the sealed pieces of beer hose U into the self-closing spherical vials K on the transport kegs, so that the kegs now fill up.
