Die Dachdeckung wird ausgeführt mit ebenen, rechteckigen Platten, welche an den beiden Seitenkanten und der oberen Kante mit einem über die Oberfläche vortretenden Rand versehen sind. Diese Platten überdecken sich derartig, dafs nur die Traufkante jeder Platte die obere Kante der nächst darunter liegenden überdeckt, während die Seitenkanten der benachbarten Steine stumpf an einander stofsen, und zwar entweder dicht an einander, wenn die Steine lediglich auf die Latten gehängt werden sollen, oder mit Zwischenraum von der Stärke eines Nagels, wenn zur gröfseren Sicherung gegen Stürme eine Nagelung, wie bei g, Fig. ι und 3, stattfinden soll. Die zwischen je zwei Steinen verbleibende Fuge wird mit Blechkappen, Fig. 4 und 5, ,gedeckt. Diese Kappen sind so gebogen, dafs die abwärts gebogenen Seitenränder h derselben die erhöhten Seitenränder zweier benachbarten Steine umfassen, während der Lappen i am unteren Ende der Blechkappen unter die Steine geschoben wird, und so einerseits das Aufheben der Blechkappe verhindert, andererseits den Schlufs der Fuge vervollständigt.The roofing is carried out with flat, rectangular plates, which are provided with a protruding edge on the two side edges and the upper edge.
