Diese Maschine bezweckt die selbstthätige Herstellung von Knöpfen zur Fischbandfabrikation
vermittelst eines Formstahls. Diese Knöpfe wurden bisher in Gesenken geschmiedet und dann
auf kleinen Feilbänken von der Hand blank gefeilt. Dieser Weg ist hier verlassen und statt
der Schmiede- die Dreharbeit eingeführt, weil dieser Procefs billiger ist und das Fabrikat
schöner wird.The purpose of this machine is the automatic production of buttons for fish tape production
by means of a form steel. These buttons have previously been forged in dies and then

Die Maschine verrichtet ihre Arbeit auf folgende Art:The machine does its work in the following way:
ι. Eine beliebig lange Stange Rundeisen wird durch das hinter der Maschine (Fig. 1 und 2)
befindliche, nach oben aufgeschlitzte Rohr in die hohle Axe (No. 1) geschoben. Diese Axe
hat in ihrem vorderen Ende zwei Hebel ^, welche bei f ihre Drehpunkte haben. Diese
Hebel werden durch eine Spiralfeder h, welche um die im hinteren Theil der Axe befindliche
Büchse i herumgelegt ist, infolge des an dem vorderen Ende der letzteren befindlichen Doppelkeiles
k fortwährend auseinandergespannt, so dafs dieselben vorn ein zangenförmiges Maul
bilden, welches das zu bearbeitende Eisen festhält. ι. A rod of any length is pushed into the hollow axis (No. 1) through the slit-open tube behind the machine (Fig. 1 and 2). Die Uebertragung der Bewegung dieser Axe No. ι auf die Axe No. 2 findet durch einen
Riemen statt (Fig. 1 und 2). Axe No. 2 vermittelt ihre Bewegung wieder durch Schnecke
mit Rad und ein paar konische Räder auf die Axe No. 3, auf welcher sich rechts und links
zwei Excenter α und b befinden. Das erste hat den Zweck, den Schlitten m gegen das zu
bearbeitende Eisen zu führen, den Knopf fertig zu drehen und abzustechen. Ist diese Arbeit
vollendet, so wird der Schlitten durch zwei kleine Spiralfedern zurückgeschnellt und das
Excenter b beginnt seine Arbeit, indem es durch einen Hebel/ auf die in der Axe No. 1 befindliche
Büchse i wirkt, dadurch das Maul der Hebel auf einen Augenblick löst und so den
Vorschub des Eisens durch das hängende Gewicht G (Fig. 3) ermöglicht.The transmission of the movement of this axis no. ι on the axis No. 2 takes place through a belt (Figs. 1 and 2).
