Es sind bereits Vorrichtungen zur Pflege der Fingernägel bekannt. die aus einer ebenen Platte bestehen und unge- fähr die Größe einer Handfläche besitzen. Am Umfang derselben sind Aussparungen oder Öffnungen vorgesehen, in welche die Finger bei Gebrauch eingelegt oder durch sie hindurchgesteckt werden. Dies geschieht in der Weise, daß der Daumen zwischen dem vorletzten und letzten Fingerglied und die übrigen Finger der Hand in der gleichen Weise oder zwischen dem zweit-und drittletzten Glied sich an der Hatte abstützen. Dadurch ist den Fingern ein gewisser Halt gegeben und ihre Lage zueinander bestimmt* Bei Gebrauch stehen aber die Fingerenden über die Platte hinaus und werden daher besonders beim Teilen und Polieren der Nägel verhältnismäßig starken seitlichen Beanspruchungen ausgesetzt. Man neigt daher dazu die Fingerenden auf die ebene Flatte aufzulegen, was meistens nicht ganz gelingt und eine verkrampfte Haltung der Finger mit sich bringt, die bald zu einer : Ermüdung führt. Andererseits kommen als Folge dieser letzterwähnten Fingerhaltung die Fingerenden so nahe aneinander, daß es praktisch unmöglich ist, alle Stellen des Magels mit den Manikür-Werkzeugen z.
