To create a method for reducing reflections in which the surface of the crystal to be irradiated is structured in a suitable manner in order to generate multiple reflections of the incident light in the interior of a light trap. The new process should be able to be used both alone and in addition to the process with the A./4 layer, so that both processes complement each other. Finally, it should be avoided that when the surface is processed in this crystal defects (damage layer) arise that interfere with the application of the component.

This results in excellent light traps which are a significant improvement - the previously known antireflection method of silicon monocrystalline surfaces.
