Description
The invention is based on a directional coupler, in particular for antenna sockets in communal antenna systems, using strip-shaped conductor tracks made of sheet metal, which act as a through or coupling conductor in a small amount of mutual Distance from one another and inserted into a carrier made of insulating material.
B. in Form metallischer Platten ausgebildete Masseleiter. In the case of such a directional coupler according to German patent specification 1 230 105, the carrier exists for the strip-shaped conductor tracks made of two identical insulating plates, which are located on opposite sides Flat sides are formed with recesses for the ladder taps. After inserting the Conductor tracks in the recesses can be the overall arrangement by plugging the two insulating plates together to be assembled. Each sheet of insulating material is provided with guide pins and corresponding Provide guide holes. In the assembled state, the guide pins penetrate each the other insulating plate and possibly arranged on both outer surfaces of the insulating plates, z. B. trained in the form of metallic plates ground conductor. The cohesion of both insulation panels and, if necessary, the mounting of the grounding plates is achieved by deforming the guide pins at the ends causes.
It is by the German Auslegeschrift 1 028 640 an exponential transformer between symmetrical High-frequency cables known in which round copper wires are used as conductors, which on a rotationally symmetrical body in the form of a cylinder can be wound up. For this purpose, the The circumference of the cylinder serving as a carrier for the ladder is cut with thread grooves.
In the arrangement made known by the French patent specification 1499 688, the Conductor placed on an insulating plate without recesses for receiving the conductors are. The conductors therefore protrude beyond the plate and can therefore be easily damaged, with it is also not possible to create a usable, defined support for the covers, but rather own spacers or the like. Are required.
The invention is based on the structure of the directional coupler mentioned at the beginning and to simplify the assembly of the overall arrangement.
In a directional coupler of the type mentioned at the outset, this is achieved according to the invention by that the carrier consists of a single plate-shaped so Part consists that on an outer flat side with a recess essentially following the course of the through conductor and on the other outer flat side with a recess that essentially follows the course of the coupling conductor is trained. The inventive design of the carrier made of insulating material for one Directional coupler is above all a significant simplification of the structure of the entire directional coupler arrangement achieved. Since the overall arrangement consists of a few individual parts, the work processes involved in assembling the arrangement decreased. The assembly itself can therefore be carried out quickly and is particularly designed simple, since only the conductor tracks have to be inserted into the recesses and fixed there. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the recesses are designed in such a way that that in the course of the recesses at several points webs to support the through or coupling conductor Stand still and the passage and coupling ladder in the rest are not resting on the webs Areas are separated from each other by an air gap. This embodiment has the advantage that the dielectric between the two conductor tracks consists largely of air and hardly any more dielectric properties of the insulating material between the conductor tracks in the actual coupling area come with.
An embodiment of the invention is described in more detail with reference to drawings.
Koppelleiters 2 a bzw. Koppelleiters 2 a bzw. Die Enden der streifenförmigen Leiterbahnen2α, 2b sind in Form von Leiterstreifen 8 aus dem plattenförmigen Teil 1 herausgeführt und sind als Lötfahnen für den Anschluß an entsprechende Bauteile od. dgl.1 a to 1c shows a directional coupler with a plate-shaped part 1 made of insulating material, preferably a plastic injection-molded part, as a carrier for the strip-shaped conductor tracks made of sheet metal, namely the through conductor 2 α and the coupling conductor 2 b . Fig. Ib shows the arrangement in plan view, while F i g. 1 a shows a section according to AB in FIG. 1 b and FIG. 1c shows a section according to CD of FIG. Ib. The plate-shaped part 1 is provided on both sides, ie on the two outer flat sides, with recesses 3, which are designed such that the conductor2α and 2b here, for. B. can be inserted in an arc. The strip-shaped conductor tracks can also run in a meander or zigzag shape. The recesses 3 essentially follow the course of the through or coupling conductor 2 α or 2 b. In addition, the recesses 3 are designed here in such a way that, in the course of the recesses 3, webs 4, 5 for supporting the through or coupling conductors 2 a and 2 b remain in place and the rest of the through and coupling conductors do not at the webs 4, 5 overlying areas are separated from each other by an air gap. The thickness of the webs 4, 5 is chosen so that the strip-shaped conductor tracks 2 a, 2 b are guided at a small mutual distance from one another. The thickness of the webs 4, 5 is also chosen to be constant here, so that the conductor tracks 2 a, 2 b run parallel to one another. For the arcuate conductor tracks 2a, 2b , a web 4 projecting approximately in the middle of the thickness of the plate-shaped part 1 into the recesses 3 is provided in the area of the curved arc, while at the point of the plate-shaped part 1 opposite a curved arc, one to the conductor 2 a, 2 b parallel wall 6 enclosed by this on two sides and extending approximately to the middle of part 1 is provided, which is formed at its free end with webs 5 protruding laterally into recesses 3 and area 7 between web 4 on Curvature arc and the webs 5 on the wall 6 is recessed. Preferably, the webs 4, 5 lying in the coupling area are to support the passage or. Coupling conductor 2 a and 2 b formed thin and narrow, so that the dielectric between the two conductor tracks consists largely of air. The thickness of the webs 4, 5 can also be selected to be different. Different coupling ratios can also be achieved along the coupling area through different thicknesses of the webs 4, 5. The ends of the strip-shaped conductor tracks 2α, 2b are led out of the plate-shaped part 1 in the form of conductor strips 8 and are used as soldering lugs for connection to corresponding components or the like.
geeignet. The fixing of the conductor tracks la and 2b in the recesses 3 can be effected in that the tolerances are accordingly closely chosen so that the conductor tracks 2 a, 2 b are press-fit. In a simple manner Another possibility, when using thermoplastics, is to fix the inserted conductor tracks in their position by heating them and then deforming them, ie pressing the plastic against the conductor. Here, the plate-shaped part 1 is pressed against the conductors 2a, 2b at the points indicated by arrows. As a ground conductor for the directional coupler, after the conductor tracks 2a, 2b have been placed on the outer surfaces of the plate-shaped part 1, metallic plates (not shown here) that are at ground potential and are connected to one another can be provided.
One possibility for installing such a directional coupler in an antenna socket and another possibility for creating a ground conductor for the directional coupler is shown in FIG. 2 shown. The F i g. 2 shows a section of a plastic housing 10 of an antenna socket, which is open on the side facing the rear of the antenna socket and has an intermediate base 11. On the side of the intermediate floor 11 facing the front of the antenna socket, two sockets 16, 17 are provided for a connector, and the connecting cables are also connected to this side of the intermediate floor 11 in a manner not shown. At the of the open, z. B. by an attachable cover lockable back of the antenna socket facing side of the intermediate floor 11, a ground plate 12 is arranged for the antenna socket. This ground plate 12 is designed with a U-shaped slot 13 for receiving a directional coupler shown in FIGS. 1 a to 1 c. In the case of a plate-shaped part 1 containing only through and coupling conductors 2 α, 2 b , the side walls 15 of the U-shaped shaft 13 simultaneously serve to hold the plate-shaped part 1 and as a ground conductor for the directional coupler. The plate-shaped part 1 of the directional coupler can be pushed into the shaft 13 from the side. A stop 14 is provided either on a side wall 15 of the U-shaped shaft 13 or - as in the case of the plate-shaped part 1 of FIGS. 1 a to 1c - on the plate-shaped part 1 itself. In the inserted state, the plate-shaped part 1 is enclosed on three sides by the U-shaped shaft 13, while another side is covered by the intermediate floor 11 of the housing 10.
