In Fig. 1 ist eine Einrichtung für die Elektrodenherstellung nach der Erfindung gezeigt, die sich auf die Herstellung von Schweißelektroden bezieht. In einem Beutel 11 ist ein Kerndraht von niedriglegiertem Stahl 12 eingeschlossen, der in Elektrodenpulver 13 aus Aluminium, Titanium, Ferromangan, Kryolit, Erdalkalimetallkarbonat und Flußspat eingebettet ist. Der Beutel 11 mit seinem Inhalt wird in eine Druckkammer 14 eingeschlossen, die mit einem Druckmittel gefüllt ist. Von einer Druckerzeugungsanlage 15, z. B. von einer Pumpe oder einem Kompressor, wird ein isostatischer Druck auf den Beutel mit Inhalt ausgeübt. Der Druck muß über 1000 atü, vorteilhaft über 2500 bis 4000 atü gehalten werden, aber es können auch Drücke bis zu 10 000 atü und höher angewendet werden. Durch die isostatische Druckbehandlung erhält man ganz oder teilweise ohne Hilfe eines wasserstoffhaltigen Bindemittels, z. B.
