Description
"Anordnung zur Materialbearbeitung mit Laserstrahlen" Die Erfindung betrifft eine Anordnung zur Materialbearbetung mit Laserstrahlen."Arrangement for material processing with laser beams" The invention relates to an arrangement for material processing with laser beams.
For example, laser beams are used to drill holes in metals and other materials or to mill and * cut the materials; Material connections are also made by welding with laser beams. A11 these processes are based on the melting or evaporation of the material when a focused laser beam hits it. The laser beams are focused in a known manner with the aid of spherical lenses. However, spherical lenses have the disadvantage that they can only be used to produce round holes in a material when using a haseratr ^ UO.enbündels of round cross-section. For the purpose of generating a beam with a cross-section of any shape, a diaphragm is provided which has the desired shape. has, in the beam path, a hole in the shape of the diaphragm can be produced in the material, but then there is a considerable loss of energy at the diaphragm. The invention is based on the object of specifying an arrangement for material processing with laser beams, with the aid of which an arbitrarily shaped cross section of the laser beam can be produced without energy losses occurring. According to the invention, the object is achieved in that an arrangement is proposed which undertakes the shaping of the cross section of the laser beam with the aid of cylindrical lenses or a combination of spherical and cylindrical lenses. The arrangement according to the invention is particularly suitable for drilling rectangular holes in materials, for cutting wires and for producing long weld seams in material connections.
An embodiment of the arrangement according to the invention is shown in Figure la shown. The arrangement is z. B. suitable for cutting a wire. The laser beam will with a known system of spherical interest, which is not shown in the figure, to a circular cross-section 'i brought its diameter slightly larger than the diameter of the one to be cut Wire is. Then, the laser beam becomes narrow with a cylinder lens 2 Band, the focal line 3, focused. The wire to be cut is arranged in such a way that that its length is perpendicular to the focal line 3 and the focal line 3 itself coincides with a diameter of the wire, as shown in Figure 1a is. The cut-away piece 5 of the wire 4 is exaggerated in the figure shown. The figure '! B shows the distribution of the intensity I in the beam cross section when focusing with a cylinder line; the rectangle 6 below the abscissa represents the beam cross-section.
The advantages of the "2-earthenets" according to the invention are fully exploited the laser beam energy and the clean cut of the wire: When using a haverstraße with a round cross-section, on the other hand, would have sharp edges on the edge of the Wire. The arrangement according to the invention of Figure 1 is of course also For welding, drilling and milling. of materials usable.
BAD ORIGINALAnother exemplary embodiment of the arrangement according to the invention is shown in FIG. 7 is a well-known spherical interest rate variable focal length, a so-called "Gummil_n: 3e", which gives the laser beam of circular cross-section 1 the desired diameter. 8 and 9 are two cylindrical lenses of variable focal length which are rotatable about the optical axis of the arrangement. The directions of rotation are indicated by the two double arrows in FIG. Through the specified design of the cylindrical lenses 8 and 9 is achieved DAB any rectangular or rhombic beam cross sections 1 are 0 at any angle in the image plane 11 perpendicular to the optical axis of the arrangement focusable, a fact which is particularly important for material processing of advantage: Adjustment of the line. sen 8 and 9 takes place z. B. with adjusting motors automatically from predetermined electrical values. BATH ORIGINAL
