Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf Gaserzeugungsanlagen, bei denen unterhalb der Retorten ein Generator vorgesehen ist, der sowohl Gas zur Beheizung der Retorten als zur Beimischung zum Retortengas erzeugen soll. Der Dampf tritt nun von oben in den Generator ein. Das erzeugte Wassergas geht durch das Rohr d und durch das Ventil α in das Ventil b, in welchem der Ventilteller so steht, daß ein Drittel Wassergas in den Kanal -c und zwei Drittel in das Rohr g und durch dieses zur Vorlage gelangt. Das eine Drittel Wassergas dient dazu, den Ofen auch während der Zeit der Wassergaserzeugung zu beheizen. Eine falsche Ventilstellung ist vollständig ausgeschlossen, weil alle Einstellungen zu gleicher Zeit durch den Hebel f bewirkt werden.
