Niederspannungs-Hochleistungssicherung.
Fig. 5 eine Aufsicht
Low voltage high performance fuse. The invention relates to a low-voltage high-performance fuse, the dimensions of which meet the relevant requirements according to DIN standard sheet 43620, October 1960, sheet 1, size 00, which fuse consists of a housing, the one protruding between two on both sides of the housing Fusible conductor attached to contact knives, as well as an extinguishing medium surrounding the fusible conductor, the fuse being provided with a signaling device and attack means, as well as being attached to a lower part, the dimensions of which meet the relevant requirements in DIN standard sheet 43620, October 1960, sheet 3, size 00 , This lower part has two receptacle contacts for the contact blades of a fuse. Such a fuse and such a lower part are generally known, for example from the supplement to pamphlet 22 by Voigt and Haeffner, Frankfurt am Main. The known fuse is constructed from a cylindrical insulating body, which is sealed at its two end faces by a metal plate, which metal plates let through and carry the contact blades. The two metal plates are each provided with a metal tab protruding from the insulating body, on which a separate insulating handle can be attached for inserting and removing the fuse. During operation, the contact blades, the sealing plates and the tabs are under tension. The known lower part for this fuse consists of a base made of insulating material on which two receiving contacts for the contact blades of the fuse are arranged. These receptacle contacts are also live during operation. All of the live parts mentioned above, especially the tabs that protrude the farthest, represent a hazard for the operating personnel who are not always very competent. It is known to manufacture the tabs from insulating material to reduce the risk of contact. However, these insulating tabs are less strong than metallic tabs and make the manufacturing price of the fuse more expensive. The aim of the invention is to provide a fuse of a completely different construction, which is practically completely safe to touch. The invention relates to a fuse of the type mentioned, which is characterized in that the housing consists entirely of insulating material and is divided along the plane of the contact blade into two identical halves, which housing halves on their mutually facing sides each with a flange with two recesses in whose mating surface are provided which, when the mating surfaces are placed against one another, cooperate in pairs to let the contact blades pass. In the fuse according to the invention, the contact blades are advantageously arranged on the housing in such a way that the recesses in the flange mating surfaces are each provided with a groove into which a collar attached to the contact blades fits. The separate operating handle can be omitted with the new fuse that the engagement means have the shape of a finger grip, for which the flange of each housing half is widened on one side of the fusible conductor, and there To reduce the risk of contact with the contact blades i: t the widened flange part to shield this contact
merz this noise; s this knife extended.
The reporting device of the fuse according to the invention has a reporting wire connected between the contact blades, which is guided through cooperating grooves in the mating surfaces of the widened flange parts over the bottom of an opening in the finger grip, which opening contains gun cotton and is closed with a plug made of transparent material. The gun cotton is ignited when the alarm wire melts and turns black. The original color of the gun cotton should deviate as much as possible from black and this color is preferably red. The fuse according to the invention can be used with good success with the known lower parts. As a logical continuation of the development of the touch-safe fuse, a lower part is designed for the type of fuse mentioned at the beginning, which is characterized in that: 3 the lower part is completely insulated, leaving free insertion openings for the contact blades. The invention is explained in more detail with reference to the drawing, and they show: FIG. 1 a front view of the fuse according to the invention with the front housing half partially removed; 2 shows a side view, FIG. 3 shows a plan view of the fuse from FIG. 1, FIG. 4 shows a front view of the lower part according to the invention with the front housing half partially removed, and FIG. 5 shows a plan view of this lower part. As can be seen from Figures 1, 2 and 3, the housing of the fuse according to the invention consists of two identical halves 1 and 2 made of insulating material, and each housing half is provided with a flange 3, 3t each with a mating surface 4 °. Two recesses 5 for the contact blades 6 to pass through are provided in each flange mating surface. The contact blades 6 are attached to the ends of a fusible conductor 7.
The two housing halves 1, 2 are placed against one another with the contact blades 6 with the flange mating surfaces 4, 4t passing through and fastened with the aid of the flange bolts 8. The space enclosed by the two housing halves 1, 2 is filled with an extinguishing medium y which completely surrounds the fusible conductor 7. The contact blades 6 are each provided with a collar 10 which engages in a groove 11 in the two facing recesses 5 in the mating surfaces 4, 4 ', so that the contact blades are held immovably by the two housing halves attached to one another. One of the flange parts 3t of each housing half 1, 2 is made wider than the flange part 3 and is provided with a list 12 on the outside. The flange parts 31 can therefore be touched for inserting and removing the fuse behind the strips 12 with the index finger and thumb. The widened flange part 31 of each housing half with the parts 13 is lengthened along the contact blade so that the contact blades 6, which are live when the fuse is inserted, are not touched by the operating personnel. The signaling device contains a signaling wire 14 which is connected between the contact blades 6 and which passes through grooves 15 in the mating surfaces 41 of the widened flange parts 3 'and an opening 16 between the flange parts 3'. The opening 16 contains gun cotton 17 and is closed with a plug 18 made of transparent material. According to FIGS. 4 and 5, the lower part for the fuse according to the invention consists of two halves 19 and 20, made of insulating material, which are fastened to one another with screw bolts 21. In the two lower part halves 19, 20 fastened to one another, receiving contacts 22 are attached, leaving free insertion openings 23 for the contact blades of the fusible link.
