Die Erfindung" betrifft eine Verbesserung der durch Patent 135078 geschützten Nägel, Stifte und dergl., bei welchen neben der Spitze eine Anzahl Schneidkanten vorgesehen sind, welche das Eintreiben des Nagels in das Holz erleichtern. Die Verbesserung besteht darin, daß die Spitze als schlanker Ansatz ausgebildet ist und die Schneidkanten in einer Ebene verlaufen, die rechtwinklig zur Stiftmittellinie liegt. Hierdurch wird der Vorteil gewonnen, daß beim Eintreiben des Nagels die von den Schneidkanten getroffenen Holzfasern glatt durchschnitten werden und nicht von schrägen Kanten bei Seite gedrückt werden können, wodurch ein teilweises Spalten des Holzes veranlaßt werden könnte.
