Für eine frequenzgerechte Aufzeichnung von Tönen und Bildern auf einem bandförmigen Aufzeichnungsträger sowie für eine ebenso frequenzgetreue Wiedergabe dieser Aufzeichnungen ist es notwendig, daß der Aufzeichnungsträger mit konstanter Geschwindigkeit an den jeweiligen Aufzeichnungs- oder Wiedergabestellen vorbeigeführt wird. Diese gleichförmige und konstante Bandgeschwindigkeit läßt sich in einfacher Weise dadurch erreichen, daß die Transportrollen, die den Aufzeichnungsträger weiter bewegt unmittelbar am bandförmigen Aufzeichnungsträger angreift. Erfolgt der Antrieb des Bandes nämlich durch den Antrieb der Aufwickelspule so muß dieser Antrieb, d. h. die Drehgeschwindigkeit der Spule dem jeweiligen Spulendurchmesser angepaßt werden.
