Beim Anfüllen von Heu oder Korngarben in Scheunen durch die Luke wird das Fangnetz durch Öffnen der Karabinerhaken b abgenommen und nach vollendeter Arbeit in ebenso einfacher Weise wieder befestigt. Die Enden des Seiles d sind zweckmäßig ebenfalls mit Karabinerhaken, die an den Eckringen / des Netzes c befestigt werden, ausgerüstet. Durch die Anordnung eines Fangnetzes der vorbeschriebenen Art wird die Bodenluke stets geschlossen gehalten, und sind somit Unglücksfälle durch Hinabstürzen ausgeschlossen.
