Description
Plant for the production of clear, evenly saturated lime water As simple lime saturators, like those used in the past, especially for water softening systems used, depending on the new filling with milk of lime, lime water with supply different saturation, efforts were made very soon in technology, Apparatus for the production of clear, uniformly saturated lime water develop that do not show such disadvantages. For example, in one of these types of plant has several lime saturators connected in parallel, which lead to different Times with milk of lime are sent again so that the saturation maxima and - roughly equalize minima. The good way of working is of course inherent in this depending on the reliability of the operating personnel.
Another type of system works in such a way that the lime is not added as milk of lime, but as lime powder in small portions intermittently, with the impulse for the lime powder delivery from a switching water meter that is installed in the dissolving water line of the lime saturator. ; Because of the very frequent addition of lime, there is no uneven lime saturation at all, depending on the time of the. Addition of lime. In the latter type of system @, the lime powder is mechanically removed from a storage silo and fed to the middle part of the lime saturator via a conveyor system from above via a downpipe which extends deep into the lime saturator. Compressed air, which bubbles up in the downpipe from below, takes over the mixing of water and lime powder to form milk of lime, which in turn exits through the open downpipe, is here diluted with the amount of dissolving water and can now be taken up as clear, evenly saturated lime water flowing upwards . From time to time the insoluble lime components and the - :::.: @: @ Af @ illten lime components of the dissolving water must be removed from the lime saturation, which is also done automatically. So that the lime water level does not drop and the lime water supply is interrupted, during the desludging process, additional dissolving water is automatically added via a special valve in the same amount as the desludging amount. Occasionally, however, the lime desludging valve and the dissolving water compensation valve adjust, which leads to changes in the amount of lime water runoff during desludging, which is disadvantageous.
Zum dritten wird die Bildung eines schwebenden Kalkschlammfilterbettes im Kalksättiger 12 erreicht, durch welches das zunächst tr;zbe Kalkwasser nach oben filtriert wird, was eine Verkleinerung des Kalksättigers ermöglicht.1, however, the descaling water is first fed to a switching water meter 1 which, via the electrical automatic switching mechanism 2, controls a metering device 3, which is driven by the electric motor 4, in such a way that the lime storage silo 5 .a proportionate amount of lime is introduced into a lime mixing tank 6. The amount of dissolving water itself is set with valve 7 and momentary water meter 8 and arrives via line 9 in Kalkmischbehdlter 6, where, supported by the continuously running agitator 10, it is converted with the lime powder into an initially cloudy lime water. The initially cloudy lime water flows down through the standpipe 11 into the septic tank of the lime saturator 12, in which the sinking substances are deposited down into the top of the container. Here, the suspended matter is collected by the circulating fluid pump 13 and fed as sludge water via the line 14 to the line 9 or directly to the lime slurry filter 6. This circulating pump, which is operated continuously even when the apparatus is at a standstill, requires little electricity, very good utilization of the lime and thus only a small amount of lime sludge is required, and also ensures that the lime sludge deposited in the lime tiger can slide off safely. Thirdly, a floating lime sludge filter bed is formed in the lime saturator 12, through which the initially cloudy lime water is filtered upwards, which enables the lime saturator to be reduced in size.
The circulating pump can also function as a stirring device take over by the, returned sludge water through line 14 directly, preferably is introduced tangentially into the mixing container 6, so that here a turbulent Flow is generated, which makes the agitator 10 unnecessary.
From the sludge water circuit maintained by the circulation pump 13 are periodically controlled by the control room 2 via valve 15, from time to time small portions of sludge water are branched off into a sludge thickening tank 16. That In the container 16 thereby displaced clarified lime water flows with its own gradient by Line 17 in the Kalkwasoersättiger 12 back. The volume of the thickening vessel 16 is dimensioned so that there a clarification of the lime sludge water and a thickening of the lime sludge occurs, which is very viscous at longer intervals of time Valve 17a can be drained into a container with its own gradient.
The clarified lime water rising in the saturator 12 flows into the 7: overflow cup 18, to which a container 19 is attached as an air separator, which prevents the lime water from being sucked in via the Oberlauftaese 18 with the lime water Air enters the line 20. Valve 21 allows the automatic closure of the plant too. from the lime water side as soon as valve 22 closes automatically caused by the system from the dissolving water side.
In Fig. 2 an arrangement is shown that that of Zig. 1 corresponds in principle, but in which the lime mixing tank 6 with the lime distributor 3 - 4 and the lime storage silo 5 is set up next to the lime saturator 12. In this case, the dissolving water is introduced directly into the standpipe 11, while the recirculated lime sludge water is used to stir the lime powder in the lime mixing tank 6 and is only then fed back into the SQttiger by the pump 13 . The inflow of the lime sludge water to the lime mixing container 6 is controlled by a float valve 23. The effect and function of the lime thickening tank 16 is the same as described in the arrangement according to FIG. 1, only the line 17 does not lead the clarified lime water here directly into the saturator 12, but into its sludge water discharge line 14a. It is not always necessary to use all the lime water in clarified form. In water purification systems, for example, a lime water flow in front of any filters that may be present may also be clouded. For this purpose, this unclarified partial flow can be taken from the central conical part of the lime saturator, whereby the lime saturator can be dimensioned smaller than if the entire amount of lime water had to be clarified. The system described can be used for water purification and other industrial purposes and can also be used for other chemicals for the continuous or intermittent generation of clear, uniformly saturated solutions.
