Description
The following explanation is based on a Aufzeiehnungssyatem on a magnetic basis, as previously mentioned. In a study Uber reliability (reliability) of the items (iteme) of the information $ content of 1,000 requests for certain phone numbers, it was found that the reliability of the three items of information, name, address and BesehäftZSuilg only 10L, the reliability of the information poets Name and address 1596 and the reliability of the information item "Name" does not account for more than 35% of the total information of the caller . But even if individual items of information of the caller was false or not specified exactly, the staff, the requested information 8.7 endeavored '% reliability to give by the instructions of the telephone directory with the urexakten details of the caller' compared. The invention relates to an automatic information system that provides information with the same reliability. hWit gives, as before, the staff. According to one embodiment of the invention , the address, name and operating area and the like of the telephone subscriber are stored in the magnetic memory in a best order and an index of the first type assigned to the individual items of each telephone subscriber. Then the items of the information of the caller are processed into a further index of the second type and this is compared with the aforementioned . In this case, DIE jenigen parts of the two types of indices are read and transmitted as information, the two types of indices are common. A further embodiment of the invention is characterized in that a Speioheradreseenoode is elaborated with each index of the first type in accordance with a programming system, which is explained published in detail yet in the following that the information of the subscriber in 4em loading said Opeioheradressencode is stored and that in the case of an inquiry, the telephone number or other information with the said index can be obtained again, which is composed of various information items to the inquirer about details of the information about which information is to be given.
her-
gestellt wirdt
Zusammensetzung.
Z.H. wird anotelle von "London Piocadilly Theater" oft "Pieeadilly
Theater of London" gesagt. Zur Ans. lysierung solcher entstellter
Bezeichnungen verwendet die vorliegende Erfindung einige Regeln, welche
die Auffindung von
81 gestatten, indem man die Hauptworte
N1, N2, R3 usw, analyriert. Diene Regeln sind in folgender Tabelle
susammengefaßt,
12. Z.B. New York Express Company hat 8Y lxpreee Nassau Golf Club oder New York Express Company hat NY Express Westchester Line als eine von vielen Eieenbahnlinien. 12. For example, New York Express Company has 8Y lxpreee Nassau Golf Club or New York Express Company has NY Express Westchester Line as one of many railway lines.
The caller asks for the number tone "Nassau Golf Club" or "N? Expreae Golf Club in Massau" or the number of "Westoheeter Line".
According to the invention , the address, like the name, is broken down into several parts: district, sub-district, block and item number. These are coded in A1, A2, A3 and A4. The coding te items Al the information the requester is erfahxungsgemäß exactly in practice more than 959L. This means that the ambiguity of this poet is 2.69L and the error in the item A is 2.096 in the information of the questioner . The accuracy of the item A2 experience has shown that 68% and the bad of Item A3 as 6896th
In general, the possibility of reading out the data from the indexed index increases if one adds an item of information about the type of employment of the telephone subscriber to the name and address. The information given by the inquirer about the activity of the wanted Bind, however, is very different from the information in the telephone directory. By examining the reasons for this is counter-measures can be found to improve the coincidence rate. The countermeasure is the classification of the operating areas of the telephone part company. According to the present invention are all Betätigungsge- offer in several divided superclasses which are characterized by a Klasd.-fikationscode, which consists of a letter and a number, for example 01, 02.
In diesem Fall
können die Berufe
der Teilnehmer, nämlich der Hersteller von
Nylonverschlüssen und
der Hersteller von Knöpfen, mit demselben
Codeposten gekennzeichnet
werden. Bei Verwendung eines solchen,
in gleicher Weise identifizierten
With regard to 91 it is particularly necessary that the characteristic stem of the name, formed by a defined number of letters, be given, s; 3. "Grins Chemioal Industry" may possibly as "Oriental Chemietry" are designated net. The countermeasure is only the Vort "0rient", a stem of "orient one" r laughing to use. Our practical experience seems en feasible, the first to separate five or six letters.
"The shorter the length of a name , the higher the accuracy of the size of the name." According to a '(-. Red embodiment of the present inven- tion are stored the indices 81, A1, 01, 02 and N2, A2 of each participant, which are formed due to the telephone directory in the aforementioned manner in a memory 4 beyond. the full name, full address and details of the employment of the work area and the telephone number of the subscriber who corresponds to said index are also stored in the memory 4. In this way, the information of all subscribers is first stored in the memory 4. In the practical information mode with the inquirer, the operator actuates a keypad 2 to the sizes N1, A1, 01, 02, N2, enter A2 and store it in the memory 3-1 of gonvertere 3 #. pressing the Äbfrageknopfes the keypad 1 is the query Nfunktioneller codes transferred to the 3 and the control circuit 3-2 of the Ujaaetzera 3 8 gives the command read out and the card ra- apeicher (file memory) the to Order 4 is read out one after the other. The stored information is the memory 3f and N1, A1, 01, 02 and N2, A2 a 'Tergleichokreie 3-4 supplied to the intermediate 3-3 the converter of the converters 3, where the re- quest N1, A1, 01, 02 successively using this transmitted GroE SEN N1, A1, 02, is compared 01 by the arrangement. 4
If toincident can be obtained, the A2 of the coincident record is compared to the subscribers with query 32 or A2. The second step is to reduce the number of coincident participants in the first comparison with N1, A1, 01, 02 . In addition, the second step is to the many Paelle in which the request 32 or A2 is incorrect, as noted above, to be avoided.
If the next step does not result in a coincidence with N2 or A2, then the coincident participants determined in the first step are passed on to the keypad 2 to print $ u, but if there are many participants, the printing takes more time and the answer will be delayed. Werra their number exceeds a predetermined number, then the information is passed on to the fast printer 7 and answered by another operator near the Schnelldraoke "7 In the second comparison, the one konzidente participants maybe just a given, the all the information of the buffer 3-3 forwarded to the printer 5, and printed there, which is automatically selected keypad as corresponding to the query, if the query is pressed functional code.
In this case, if the operator's response is stored in an auxiliary response device 6, for example an endless tape recorder, which continuously repeats the responses , the operator can turn to the following query earlier so that the service can be made more effective. In addition , an introduction, for example, "I am sorry that you had to wait so long. The telephone number you want is ......" can be entered into the auxiliary memory 6. The loading dienungsmann then only needs every time the phone number $ u speak, so that its service can be made far more effective.
In the other embodiment of the invention, two memories 4 are provided. In one, the participants' information is stored in the index order N, A and 0 and in the other in the order N, 0 and A. If the query does not contain any information about the subscriber's profession or work area , then the operator uses the information provided by the inquirer to make an index NA- (an empty code is necessary because of the defined length). This means that the entire memory content that is co -identical with the indices M and A of the said NAO memory can be read out. On the other hand, if the request lacks information on the subscriber's address, then the operator builds an index only on X and 0 from the given information. It can then read out all of the information which is co-identical with the index NO- of the said NOA memory , the number of participants in this process being able to be reduced by a comparison with N2 or A2. By using two such memories , the operator can answer correctly even if the query given to him about profession or address does not contain any information . 'A third embodiment of the invention relates to a method for writing and reading information under the condition described below using said indexes: The method consists in the following arithmitisohen operation in the converter 3, to using the Index # a memory address to manufacture the hereinafter referred to as NAO. The name, occupation, telephone number and other necessary variables of the subscriber are stored in the memory 4 at a memory address which results from an arithmetic operation . In addition , the index of participants who are 4 among the total number of participants in memory is one suitable reilpurÄkt, e.g. 1/2, 1/4, 3/4, 1 / a lie, as a key code in the internal memory 3-5 of the converter 3- brazen. A larger number of such sub-points is useful in order to narrow down the storage area to be found again. But this increase makes the scale of the memory 3-5 # larger in effectiveness, so that said subdivision is stopped at an appropriate tiler point. The characters in the top row of the memory address are determined. The lower characters, on the other hand, by a cultivation process.
The task of multiplication is to produce an address from the product of a suitable reference number with a suitable whole number (see q); sB, one changes the characters of the lower orders of the index against suitable whole numbers, which serve as cult multiplier (m), whereby 1 or a suitable number (m #) or the cult multiplier (n) itself serves as multiplier.
Serve product (m z-1 or mz mt "or mx m) is at the On the one or tens digit of the memory. 4
Furthermore, as in the first exemplary embodiment, with two memories in which the information about the participants is stored in the order N10 or in the order N, O, A, the efficiency of the responses can be improved by adding a memory that selectively works if the inquirer is ignorant of the profession or field of work or address of the desired participant . For example, if the inquirer does not know the subscriber's occupation, the NA0 memory substitutes the first and last occupation code in numerical order in place of the blank 0 in the inquiry index NAO, whereby the upper and lower limits of the range are passed through which allows the said arithmetic operation to be determined. If, on the other hand, the inquiring party is unaware of the address of the desired subscriber, then the numerical code on the first and last part of the address code is sent to the blank in item A1 of the NOA inquiry index # subati #. tuiert and thereby the upper and lower limits of the range are calculated by the said arithmetic operation. (If a city has 23 districts, then these first and last parts of the address are called 01 and 23). The stated object of the present invention can also be solved by DAB: by providing a memory for occupations or actuation areas and in these, the indices 01, 02 and A1 (and if necessary also an index A 2) writes and these indices checked for Purpose of reading out the necessary information.
The increase in the number of telephone subscribers makes the telephone directories very extensive and then there are considerable difficulties in finding the desired subscriber from these books . Instead nu distribute these extensive books to each subscriber, it may be desirable to produce an additional auxiliary response device to connect to the subscriber and the magnetic memory has been described above, in which letters of each subscriber are stored in such a manner that, for example in Means case of No. Aarrie, H of Hong Kong, A of America, R of Rome, I of Italy and S of Sweden. On the other hand , instead of distributing the extensive telephone directories , after reading out and printing out numerical codes which are temporarily stored in the magnetic memory in correspondence with each letter of the subscribers , one of said read out and printed numerical codes coincident with one to answer the prepared calculation table : furthermore, the explanations for each letter are temporarily stored in a tape. The address of the stored letter can be indicated by the number of the arithmetic table from said converter and thus the stored explanation of the letters can be automatically reproduced according to the indicated addresses. In Figure 1, 1 and 1 indicate # input devices. 8 is a query device in which a query record is temporarily stored. The query data $ is called, for example, "What kind of address does it have" or "What is it" and makes it easier to get information from the inquiring party, with the help of which the difficulties for the operating personnel can be significantly reduced.
9 is a card reader or tape reader. At each change a telephone number of a subscriber, this device 9 reads the Xnderung, stores the changed number and causes a correction of the overall in the memory 4 phone number stored while the information service.
10 is a connector. This is primarily used to obtain a correct telephone number for a subscriber outside the subscriber area covered by the information center , provided that the whole country works with such automatic information centers . The indices a request for information about participants in an area other tung be in the form of pulses over the given Verbindungslei- 10 and then forwarded to said propagation velocity converter 3 with a training that is synchronized with the speed of operation of the converter. If the supplied index belongs to the inquiry of a subscriber belonging to the same information center, then the answer is given with the same checking and reading system that was described above. If, on the other hand, the query index comes from a subscriber who belongs to another information area , then the indexes are transmitted and passed through the other connecting line to an input / output channel of a telephone number information center, which is determined by the type of index. The other telephone information center, which received these scripts - # at, responds to the request using the same test and readout system as previously described in connection with the reverse flow of information. 3 # is an emergency translator; S% W is a switch for the main converter and 11 is a buffer device which receives the signals from the keypad 2 and forwards them at a speed that is synchronized with the operating speed of the converter 3 or 31 and the information from the Sends converter at a speed that is synchronized with the working speed of the high-speed printer. 12 is a means for storing information that can not be answered, and the continuously checks the information stored therein in a suitable manner and which gives a correct answer to the poller or stores them in the memory 4, if it is put in the Zage, find correct information $ u by uncovering the error Bq, <q, 0q or the like.

Do you analyze the 14? Cases in which an answer in accordance with the usual and customary search method is not possible, then one finds that there are 51 cases in which the persons concerned are mistaken for the persons sought . In a further 17 cases the persons concerned are considered to be the wanted, but they are not the telephone subscribers and in a further 48 cases the wanted persons do not exist. The 51 cases are broken down as follows (e9) N, A, 0 coincidence 2 (? Fullness (b9) g, A coincidence; 0 error 5 cases (o #) 9 no coincidence, A error 1 case (d ') N no coincidence; A1, 01 coincidence 16 cases (f') N and 0 no coincidence, A coincidence 8 cases In the above case, at every 20 Paelle the invention can be answered in use.
In the 5 cases of example b # it has been determined that there is only one case in which the error can be corrected with the aid of table 3 and that errors in the other cases cannot be corrected with the aid of the table , since they can be corrected not to be traced back to a logical principle. The error with respect to index A in the case of can loading ride previously described system of be rrüfens and reading rigiert cor-. So we see that with the present inven- tion a total of 23 cases can be answered. The indices 8 in the cases d ' and et do not coincide with one another, eö that there is no possibility of answering the question .
According to the present invention , the information entered, which contains questions not to be answered, is sorted according to addresses and stored in the memory 12. Then the stored by an address information is, for example, sent to the output section of a telegram office, but addresses can give information .. In the output section of the telegram Center displays the sorti for addresses: rten information in which respect no coincidence index is available, compared with the address list of the department. In this way, the processor can find out the addresses of some of the people to be considered and check their telephone numbers. The agent then stores their telephone number in memory 3, a double memory. In all of this, the reason that the information is not coincident with the index N1 is that the information provided about the subscriber's area of employment is a company name, but the subscriber is listed in the telephone directory under his family name. Given the double memory for the telephone number in the memory 3, the operator can give the answer to the questioner, even if an immediate answer is impossible for him. When looking for the telephone numbers of public offices, the participants often use popular names, abbreviations or the like. The more famous the name of the office, the fewer people know its exact address. Accordingly, according to the present invention, the index of a public office contains a code relating to the office (e.g. Ministry of Justice or the like) in the first part of the index, the first part of the name of an auxiliary authority or a code of the auxiliary authority, the name of which apparently describes its function , in the second part of the index, and an address or a space above it in a third part of the index. The telephone number of an authority can easily be found by checking the individual columns of the offices in the telephone book with a little experience and practice, eelbet using the usual method of searching in telephone books as a basis. For example, the telephone number of an office can be checked and re-read using an index that contains the name of the office and, in the second and third places, the information in the Prags. In this way, the present invention enables an improvement in the usual response efficiency gradeo from 87 to 92f, with direct answering. By using and activating the telegram center or the like, a percentage of 95 ¢ can even be achieved.
