Description
However, it must be taken into account that the use of tax stamps designed as grooves is known per se in connection with image carriers (US Pat. No. 3,139,793).
Es zeigtAn embodiment of the invention is explained below with reference to the drawings. It indicates
Fig. 1 die Zuordnung zwischen einem Film und einer automatischen Synchronisierungs-Umschaltvorrichtung, Fig. 1 shows the association between a film and an automatic synchronization switching device,
F i g. 2 ein Tonbandstück, auf dem die den Filmtransport auslösenden Signale aufgezeichnet sind.F i g. 2 a piece of tape on which the signals triggering the film advance are recorded.
Main control signals 4, 5 are recorded at the necessary intervals on the lower track of the tape 1, on the upper track of which the explanatory's voice is recorded. The length of the main control signal 4 is determined so that the control signal for the film transport is generated as a result of the tape movement during the time required for a frame advance and the film 2 is transported by one frame in correct association with the sound (signal 3), while the length L of the recorded main control signal 5 is determined so that the control signal is generated when the tape 1 is passed during a time which is a multiple of the time t. Also, a signal 6 for forced synchronization, the frequency of which differs from that of the signal α (generated by the main control signal recording 4, 5), is recorded following the main control signal 5. The film transport of the projector 8 is constructed in such a way that the film transport remains switched on by the control signal as long as the signal lasts. A microswitch 10 and a frequency relay 11 (for example a Ree relay) are provided between the projector and the sound head 9. A number of recesses 7 are provided along the lower edge of the film at certain distances from one another. If the sensor 12 of the microswitch 10 strokes the smooth lower edge of the film 2, the projector 8 is controlled by the main control signals 4, 5, while if the sensor 12 gets into the recess 7, the projector 8 based on the signals 6 of the Forced synchronization is activated. In the drawing, 13 is a resonance contact which switches on the drive of the projector 8 on the basis of the signals generated by the recordings 4, 5 and the resulting closure of the relay contacts. 14 is a resonance contact which switches on the drive of the projector 8 on the basis of the signals 6 of the forced synchronization. 15 is an amplifier.
The method of operation of the device is explained below for the two possible malfunctions will.
1. Das Bild eilt dem Ton nach1. The picture lags behind the sound
The main control signal 4 generates switching signals α during the movement of the tape 1 only during the time t required to advance the film 2 by one frame. When the main control signal recorder 4 passes the switching signal receiving head 9, the film 2 advances one frame. Since the main control signal record 5 generates switching signals α for a time several times the time t , when the main control signal 5 is applied to the head 9, the film 2 moves several frames at a time. If the tape 1 therefore leads the film 2 once, the film 2 moves immediately when the main control signal 5 passes the head 9 and continues to move until the sensor 12 comes into the groove 7 and the microswitch 10 contacts the P contact switches from the resonance contact 13 to the resonance contact 14, whereby the switching signals α of the main control signal 5 can not be effective, so that the film 2 is stopped in its movement. When the synchronization signal 6 is scanned by the sound head 9, the film 2 moves by one frame, the drive of the projector being switched on on the basis of the signals d which were generated by the recording of the forced synchronization signals 6. As soon as the sensor 12 leaves the groove 7, the contact switches from the resonance contact 14 to the resonance contact 13, and the film 2 is stopped. By assigning the position of the groove 7 to the position of the signal 6 recorded on the tape, the lag of the image is completely corrected if the film 2 has moved one frame due to the forced synchronization signal 6 and the sound and image are then fully synchronized.
2. Der Ton eilt dem Bild nach2. The sound lags behind the picture
If the film 2 is ahead of the tape 1, the sensor 12 gets earlier in the groove 7 and so the signal a, which is generated each time the signals 4, 5 recorded on the parts of the tape 1, the film Follow 2, come to the head 9, do not set the drive of the projector 8 in motion. If the tape 1 runs forward and the synchronization signal 6 comes to the head 9, the signal b is generated and the film 2 moves by one frame; This means that the image and sound are synchronized again.
As can be seen from considering the above two cases, the discrepancy between tone and image is automatically corrected, and, the length L of the main control signal is appropriately increased, so the discrepancy that can occur between tape 1 and film 2 can be automatic corrected within a certain limit. The description refers to the case in which signals of one frequency are used as forced synchronization signals. Becomes a number of signals of different frequencies used as a synchronization signal or more than If two types of synchronization signals are combined, an increased synchronization can be achieved by this combination, the synchronization period being chosen to be longer and the synchronization can practically always take place during the demonstration. The still film can be given the same synchronization as the slides if appropriate in the slides Edge grooves are provided.
