Single seat for motor vehicles The invention relates to a
Single seat for motor vehicles and consists essentially in the fact that the edges
of the seat in the area of the seat and the side edges of the backrest by reinforcements
Form a stiff frame, which does not, however, extend over the approximately horizontal
The upper edge of the backrest continues, so that the parts generating the backrest surface, in particular
are elastically deformable in the area of the upper edge of the backrest.
Gegenüber den bekannten starren Sitzrahmen, Sitzgestellen bzw. Sitzschalen
Fig. 1a zeigt einen Fahrersitz
Compared to the known rigid seat frames, seat frames or seat shells
The seat according to the invention offers a number of remarkable ones for individual Juiraft vehicle seats
Advantages. As a result, the seat back itself, possibly increasing upwards,
is elastically deformable, the back padding can be made thinner than before
without affecting the seating comfort. This results in considerable
Savings in cost and weight. It is particularly important and beneficial
that the space otherwise occupied by thick cushions is now usable and in particular
through the greater freedom of the knees achieved in this way to a further increase in the
Contributes to comfort.

In the case of a driver's seat 1, its frame is opposite the steering wheel 2 in
The usual way indicated that 1. the leg passage s in the vertical
from the lower edge of the steering wheel tire to the point of contact with the surface
3 the seat upholstery and 2. the seat width w also from the edge of the steering wheel tire
determined from perpendicular to the surface 4 of the tens padding, as shown in Fig.
1a is shown.
In analoger -Weise
In contrast to this, in the following the in 13ig. 1b are used, which allow both a more precise measurement and a better representation of the relationships and are defined as follows. All dimensions are measured from the center of the steering wheel tire, perpendicular to the surfaces whose distance is to be determined. The iuIass a minus the radius of the steering wheel tire corresponds to the ichenkeld passage s, where a is measured from the center point of the steering wheel tire perpendicular to the seat surface 3, while A is the distance from the center point of the steering wheel tire to the upper edge 6 of the seat frame : aenteile is. In an analogous manner, b is the luaß corresponding to the seat width w and is also measured from the center point of the steering wheel tire perpendicular to the surface 4 of the tensile pad. The Iliaß B, however, gives the distance up to the Gber_fläche 7 of the tens. frame and, minus b, gives the designer the amount that is available to him for measuring the thickness of the pillow. The seat according to the invention, preferably made of synthetic material, whose load-bearing parts are in the in the i'ig. 2 to 4 are designed as a seat shell, has raised edges 10 in the area of the seat surface 8 and the two edges of the backrest 9 '. These raised edges 10 form a stiff frame, which is reinforced, in particular in the area of the seat surface 8, by a viulst 11 which runs out in the area of the upper edge of the backrest: the part 9 of the seat shell that forms the tensile surface is, so to speak, stretched between the parts 10 If there is no stiffening of the seat shell at the upper edge of the ten, the backrest can evade under the weight or jerk of a passenger and the upper edge of the backrest can assume the shape 12 shown in dashed lines. With a suitable choice of the material for producing the seat according to the invention, this deformation is elastic and the relieved seat back will assume its original shape again. Because the seat back itself is elastic, the upholstery can be made thinner than previously usual, without the seating comfort being impaired. In this way a reduction of the waste is achieved prior b B at a predetermined distance. The space gained in this way contributes to a further increase in comfort for a given size of the passenger compartment, since there is greater knee freedom, in particular for the passengers sitting in the rear.
