Unter Cylinder-Trockenmaschinen sind solche Maschinen zu verstehen, bei denen mit Dampf
geheizte Cylinder von Metall, in einer oder mehreren Reihen über- und hintereinander gelagert
sind; diese Maschinen haben den Zweck, über diese Cylinder geleitete Stoffe zu trocknen
oder zu appretiren.Cylinder drying machines are those machines that use steam
heated cylinders made of metal, stored in one or more rows one above the other
are; the purpose of these machines is to dry substances passed through these cylinders
or to finish.
Die Gestelle und Lagerungen der gewöhnlichen Cylinder-Trockenmaschinen sind durch

Fig. ι ist eine solche Maschine, bei welcher die Heizcylinder α hintereinander in einer Reihe
liegen und in Lagern laufen. Diese Lager b sind auf der Hauptwand c befestigt. An dieser,
unterhalb von jedem Lager, befinden sich die Lager für die Leitwalzen d. Fig. Ι is such a machine in which the heating cylinders α are one behind the other in a row and run in bearings. Die Zapfen der Cylinder sind hohl, um den Dampf zuleiten und das Condensationswasser,

Leitwalzen-Lager sind demnach jedes für sich an die horizontale Hauptwand befestigt. Der
Dampfzuleitungs-Kanal / in der Hauptwand des Gestelles c befindet sich zwischen den Leitwalzen

Trommellager, sind auf einem besonderen Theile der Gestellwand für sich befestigt. Cylinder a,
sowie Leitwalzen-Lager, sind also ein jedes für sich an der Hauptwand angebracht.Fig. 2 is the same machine. Die Trommeln α befinden sich in den Lagern
b; unter- oder oberhalb der Trommellager b befinden sich die Lager der Leitwalzen d,

auf einem Fundament - Rahmen oder Platte g, durch welche der Dampf zugeleitet

Es unterscheidet sich also diese neue (in Fig. 4 dargestellte) Construction von der alten
(Fig. ι und 2) dadurch, dafs bei der neuen Construction die Leitwalzenlager an dem Ständer
oder Lager der einzelnen Cylinder befestigt sind, während bei der früheren Construction
die Leitwalzenlager stets an dem eigentlichen Gestell der Maschine angebracht wurden, also
nicht an dem Lagerständer jeder einzelnen Trommel.This new construction (shown in FIG. 4) differs from the old one
(Fig. 1 and 2) in that in the new construction the guide roller bearings on the stand
or bearings of the individual cylinders are attached, while in the earlier Construction
the guide roller bearings were always attached to the actual frame of the machine, so
not on the storage rack of each individual drum.
Fig. 3 ist eine Cylinder - Trockenmaschine, bei welcher die Cylinder α nicht nur hintereinander,
sondern auch in zwei Reihen übereinander liegen. Die sämmtlichen Lager b sind

Fig. 5 stellt meine neue Construction von Cylinder - Trockenmaschinen, bei welcher die

Jedes einzelne Lager b ist auf einer Fundamentplatte oder Rahmen g befestigt, also nicht

Hier ist der Fundament-Rahmen oder Platte g zwischen die Lager b der unteren und oberen
Reihe der Trommeln eingeschaltet. Es sind also wiederum sämmtliche Lager auf nur einem
Fundament-Rahmen g befestigt. Die Cylinder a

und Abfuhr-Kanal bildet, so ist also auf jeder Seite der Trommeln auch nur ein solcher Kanal

Patent-Ansprüche: Eine neue Anordnung der Lagerungen bei Cylinder-Trockenmaschinen,

ι. Eine Lagerung der Trommeln bei solchen Cylinder-Trockenmaschmen, deren Trommeln
in einer Reihe hintereinander liegen, derart angeordnet, dafs die Lager der Leitwalzen
(dieselben mögen unter- oder oberhalb der einzelnen Trommeln liegen) stets mit dem
Lager der Trommel zusammen verbunden und dafs die Lager nur auf einer Fundament-Platte

kann, zwischen der unteren und oberen Trommelreihe liegt, oder unterhalb beider Trommelreihen. (Wie Fig. 5 und 6 darstellt.)
