Die Holztapeten werden in der Weise hergestellt, dafs das unbedruckte Papier gleichzeitig mit dem von dem Arbeiter mittelst eines Schwammes mit Farbe bestrichenen Druckbrett zwischen zwei entgegengesetzt umlaufende Druckwalzen von gleichem Durchmesser gelangt. Die auf das Druckbrett aufgetragene überflüssige Farbe wird mittelst eines breiten Wischers durch zwei Arbeiter über die ganze Länge des Brettes hinaus beseitigt. Das bedruckte Papier wird, nachdem es die Walzen passirt, von zwei anderen Arbeitern ergriffen und auf hinter der Maschine befindliche Tische zum Trocknen ausgebreitet.
