Gegenstand' vorliegender Erfindung ist eine Verbesserung der bisher benutzten künstlichen Hilfsmittel für schwerhörige Personen. Die alten Apparate haben den Nachtheil, in vielen Fallen eine Gehörsverbesserung nur unvollkommen zu erreichen. Das künstliche Trommelfell von Toynbee .bezw. dasjenige von Lucae wird z. B. gröfsere Durchlöcherungen des menschlichen Trommelfells, besonders in den unteren und vorderen Partien desselben, niemals vollständig verdecken können. Die bedeutende Schieflage des Trommelfells zur Gehörgangsachse verhindert diese Absicht. Daraus folgt eine wesentliche Beeinträchtigung der Schallübertragung. Die bisher vielfach angewendeten Wattekügelchen und Wattescheiben können den erwähnten Uebelstand auch nicht völlig beseitigen, und werden aufserdem die Schallwellen durch Watte meist gedämpft und undeutlich übertragen.The object of the present invention is to improve on the artificial ones used heretofore Aids for the hard of hearing. Durch die federnde Membran b ist der Druck der Goldplatte g durchaus elastisch und kann von solchen Schwerhörigen, durch das Gefühl regulirt, je nach Erfordernifs mehr oder weniger stark ausgeübt werden. In veralteten Fällen mit verwachsenen Gehörknöchelchen oder angewachsenem Trommelfell kann der Schwerhörige den Druck öfters wiederholen, so dafs derselbe gewissermafsen eine Massage ausübt. Sobald durch diese Massage allmählich Trommelfell und Gehörknöchelchen nach aufsen gedrängt sind und in annähernd normale Lage rücken, wird der Kette der Gehörknöchelchen und dem Trommelfell gröfsere Beweglichkeit und Schwingungsmöglichkeit verschafft, wodurch eine Verbesserung des Gehörs herbeigeführt wird.Fig. 8 illustrates an embodiment like Fig. 6, but a suitably attached gold plate g is attached to the upper part of the membrane b.
