Verfahren zur Verbesserung der Rohfestigkeit von gelfreie oder gelarme Synthesekautschuke mit enger Molekulargewichtsverteilung enthaltenden Kautschukmischungen durch Vorvernetzung der Synthesekautschuke oder diese enthaltenden Kau- tschukmischungen unter Wärmebehandlung zwischen 50 und 200°C in Gegenwart von Dinitrosoverbindungen vor dem Zusatz der Vulkanisationsmittel, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man zusätzlich Chinone oder in der Wärme zu chinoiden Verbindungen führende Substanzen verwendet.
