KAISERLICHES PATENTAMT. Schneckenfräser oder ähnliche Werkzeuge aus Werkzeuggufsstahl. bedingen aufserordentlich hohe Herstellungskosten und ein bedeutendes Risiko bei der Fabrikation, wenn sie in üblicher Weise aus einem cylindrischen Stahlstück herausgearbeitet und dann gehärtet werden, besonders sobald- die Dimensionen verhältnifsmäfsig grofs ausfallen müssen. Durch vorliegende Erfindung werden die Herstellungskosten eines gröfseren Schneckenfräsers und das Risiko beim Härten desselben wesentlich verringert, indem lediglich die mit Schneidzähnen zu versehenden Gewindegänge aus Werkzeugstahl gefertigt und, wie es beispielsweise Fig. ι und 2 der beiliegenden Zeichnung veranschaulichen, in einen zweitheiligen Körper aus billigerem Material, z. B. Gufseisen, eingesetzt werden.
