Vorliegende Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein ■ widerstandsfähiges Gespinnst, das aufsen vollständig aus reiner Torffaser besteht und eine Seele aus Baumwolle oder anderem Fasergut besitzt.. Ein derartiges Gespinnst, welches durch die üblichen Verfahren und Mittel der Spinnerei angefertigt wird, wird in der Weise hergestellt, dafs ein Vliefs aus reiner Torffaser um einen Baumwollfaden herumgelegt wird, der sonach die Seele des Gespinnstes bildet; der Baumwollfaden ist dabei niemals mit Torffaser gemischt und dient ausschliefslich dem Zwecke der Erhöhung der Festigkeit und Widerstandsfähigkeit des Gespinnstes. Ein derartiges Gespinnst dient zur Herstellung von festen Geweben, indem es entweder gleichzeitig als Kette und Schufs Verwendung findet, oder indem es nur als Kette benutzt wird. In letzterem Falle können als Schufsfäden reine Torfgespinnste benutzt werden. Derartige Gewebe, deren beide Flächen eine reine Torffaser zeigen, sind natürlich durch die Eigenschaften ausgezeichnet, welche dem Torfe eigen sind, nämlich grofse Fähigkeit zur Aufsaugung und Verdunstung von Flüssigkeiten, Dehnbarkeit, Unverwesbarkeit, sowie fäulnifshindernde und keimtödtende Wirkung.The present invention relates to a tough spun that is completely open consists of pure peat fiber and a core made of cotton or other fiber material possesses ..
